Just drop a roofie and some viagra into a guy's drink and she's good to go. Or heck, just get a guy drunk enough so he blacks out and has no idea what he's doing. Then there's the whole teacher-student deal.

abortions are not a right..... they are just simple to do... and so who can actually stop it?

the problem is... our society practically promotes it...

hence the low birthrate in western countries.

Well, that's just your opinion, right?

But the larger question is: Do you respect the opinion of others on the issue? Or do you feel that you should force your own opinion onto others ...even if they don't like it?

If I were to be pregnant, right now at the age of 16, I'd still have my child. Even if I was raped. Getting ride of the child isn't going to help me. And it really won't help me get over what happened to me.
I'm not saying that I'd take care of the child. I'd put it up for adoption, most likely. Isn't it great that I can make someone happy by giving them a child that they can't have?

I'm talking about humans, not animals. And no, I don't eat meat actually. Not that that really matters or anything.

Until you find yourself in that position, it might be best to not make promises or statements that you may or may not be able to live up to.

And it is your right to believe it to be wrong. However you do not have the right to dictate to other women as to what their choices should be.

So what makes sense to you should also make sense to everybody else?

It is not a child until it is born. A woman can naturally abort a foetus at any given time during her pregnancy. That foetus does not become a live child until it is born, alive and breathing.

And yet many mature and educated people also think along the same lines. If it is your personal belief that abortion is wrong, then if you one day find yourself pregnant, you shall simply attempt to carry the child to term. But who or what gives you the right to dictate what you deem correct and proper to everyone else? Don't you think that other women should be given the choice? Or do you think that while you may have a choice, other women should just not be allowed the same right?

If the mother were to give birth to a pre-term foetus, the foetus can in fact die. It is not a living person until it is born. Its heart beats because that is what the cells programmed to be the heart makes it so.

If the mother dies, do you think the foetus were to have any rights then? What you fail to realise is that the foetus cannot survive without the mothers body. A foetus is in fact a parasite in the mother and in many instances, the body treats it as such and expels it accordingly. So do you think the foetus should have rights against the mother's body in these instances as well?

And how can you be so cruel as to force someone to do something they do not want to do?

I have a question for you. What if the mother discovers she has cancer after the child has been conceived and if she does not receive immediate treatment, she can and will die. To receive this treatment, she will have to abort the foetus. So who's rights should come first? Should the mother sacrifice herself for a foetus that may or may not survive the duration of the pregnancy?

I am not even going to bother argueing these points as they are not even worth looking at. You have failed to provide proof for your claims. And you have merely shown your immaturity in regards to birth control.

Your right! Who am I to make decisions for other people? Why don't people just go around raping people, you know? It's thier body anyway, don't they deserve to have a right to do what makes them feel good? Huh? Why not? Who are we to impose our morals on them after all?
Don't you see that by a man raping a women it would be ignoring the rights of the women just as it ignores the rights of the child? How is that any different?
If your friend comes in your house and murders your mom, shouldn't he be punished? Or is that just his decision, and we need to butt out?
Or lets say that YOUR mother were to kill you now as you are, is that wrong? Why would it be wrong for them to kill you in the womb, and not be wrong to kill you as you are now?

Oh tough, I mean come on! If that poor poor women was so worried about getting pregnant why the hell wasn't she perpared in the first place? People need to be responsible. So, "Opps, I forgot to use the pill" and there's a child growing inside you-your just going to kill it? How unfair is that? The child hasn't done anything.
Don't even give me that crap that "it's not real" or "it doesn't matter to anyone else."

Okay here are some facts, with proof for you Bells. http://www.cfpeople.org/page20.html
    http://www.letusreason.org/Curren12.htm http://www.abortioninfo.net/facts/arguments1.shtml

*40% of all women who have an abortion will have 2 or more!

*Half of all abortions are performed on women who choose to use abortion as their only means of birth control.

*EVERY THIRD BABY DIES FROM ABORTION!!!

*80 % oppose abortion used as a form of birth control. (13% were in favor) Los Angeles Times, March 19, 1989. (what's happened in the past few years?)

*92 % believe abortion should be illegal “if a family decides they don't want another child.” (Washington Post, October 7, 1989).

*60% think the fetus should have rights, just like all other human beings.

*Q. "But you're not really killing the fetus, since it was never really alive."
    A. Most scientists now agree that human life starts at conception. So yes, you are killing the fetus

So yeah, theres some facts for you all.

I've been thinking and I think Abortion should be there for women who could die giving birth to there child. Like for medical reasons. My grandma almost died giving birth to my dad, but she did it anyway. She could've died, and I don't think someone should feel like they have to have the child if there life is in danger. I mean what if they have childs already to take care of, you know?

I cannot, and won't ever go through what someone feels when they are confronted with the fact they have a child they didn't know they would have conceived.

Therefore, I think in the time the baby is still in it's mother's body, it should remain for the mother to decide whether to keep the child or not. A lot of the reasons why someone wouldn't want their child has to do with how human society works anyway. Have you heard of an animals wanting to abort their babies?
    That would be your prerogative.

The right to have a choice means women who don't think they think they are ready to be a mother, don't have financial support, want to forget they were raped, or another reason, could chose what's best for her and her baby. And that could mean stopping a baby being born into a miserable world.

People have got to understand that there is no such thing as pro-abortion. People are pro-choice.

That's so cool that your first post was here, on my thread. Cool.
Well read what I said before your post, that's my reply to this.
Maybe I'm so iffy about the abortion thing because I've been raised that it's wrong. It is against my religion as well. But even though, I'd still say that it shouldn't be a choice.
And why does a baby have to be born into a miserable world? If the mother doesn't care for the child what's stopping her from putting the child up for adoption. There are plenty of people willing to adopt these days.
