Has anyone else noticed that the last song on Gnarls Barkley's album 'The Last Time' sounds a lot like the theme from that old nickeloden show 'Legends of the Hidden Temple?' Or am i just making stuff up? anyway, gnarls barkley is a really unique, really good listen.
who said we couldnt make it into one? instead of whats your favorite song, maybe what's your favorite position, place, or time of day? incredible sex.
Art Brut are an absolutely incredible local band. Lead singer Johnny Argos bascially speaks the words, over a brilliant musical background. He is blessed with sublime wit, and a knack of making a brilliant song. "Legally Acquire" the song Formed A Band, to see what they are all about.
I checked out a sizable portion of your list, Roman, and have decided that Ambulance LTD is one of my favorite new bands. Swim, Ophelia and ANECDOTE are songs that are really hitting me now. Arctic Monkeys are awesome too. They kind of remind me of a cross between Rancid and Reel Big Fish.
Whoa, Barcelona. They were playing in North Carolina last month, the week after I left for home. Oh well. I got to see Wilco at my college. That was cool.
I'm going to see Foo Fighters this Sunday. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! They're being supported by The Strokes. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Andrew Bird and Minus the Bear. Andrew Bird whistles and plucks on a violin, and is totally indie stuff, but great. Minus the Bear all sounds the same, but they have some good tracks. Both have good lyrics. Lyrics that I wish I wrote.
Nick Drake Iron & Wine Both are very talented artists that remind me of a new style of folk music, and are worth listening to at least once. If you care for my opinion on songs you might like, try Nick Drake's "Cello Song", "Three Hours", "Fruit Tree", "Saturday Sun", or "Things Behind the Sun". As for Iron & Wine, I would suggest "Naked As We Came", "Each Coming Night", "Free Until They Cut Me Down", "Sodom, South Georgia", "Woman King", or "Burn That Broken Bed". Enjoy.
The whole album "Our Endless Numbered Days" is great, though my favorites on it are Teeth in the Grass, On Your Wings or Cinder and Smoke. An Angry Blade and The Rooster Moans are good too, but those are on "The Creek Drank the Cradle."
Yes he does, the song "One Of These Things First". Relative to "discovering new music", I present you with this website formerly known as the Music Genome Project: www.pandora.com
