    12? 12?? I mean 12?

Did the reporters at the time do due diligence and have you looked into how many people would have been present at the airport. Few hundred at least. As a frequent traveler I know many people while waiting to take off or are seeing someone off spend a lot of time close to the large viewing windows. Lots of photos being taken

My guess is that the story was already written before the reporter got to the airport

Reporter thinks - Um UFO - get statements from those who saw something - maybe photo of them pointing to the sky - write it up - home early

    Just read (skimmed)

    http://www.narcap.org/reports/TR10_Case_18a.pdf

Its 155 pages - spooky music - page 155 is blank and has the page been removed - and other pages following also gone?
    Ooooo - more spooky music

The report very comprehensive. Liked the photo section about page 110 showing how much faith UFO believers have that they fake and recycle photos
Don't bother I'll say it - those who do that are not true believers

I also found the rate of climb was estimated at

    2,000 ft/sec = 1,300+ miles/sec

faster even than this non answered / no comments nugget

    ...... climbed from 1,700 to 3,500 feet .......in a couple of seconds.......no g-forces.....

equates to about 988 klm per hour?

    Enough going for coffee

Your guess ? Now why would a reporter have written this before the actual UFO experience , and then be shut down ?

There's been a regular ufo service O'Hare to London for quite sometime now.

Busted. No little green men with anal probes. Normal service run

No need for the little green chaps now. That part of the service is fully automatised and done at the gate. If the people in the photo were facing the photographer, their facial expressions would indicate that probing had just been completed.
    Ps. Unbusted.

It's anybody's guess what would happen. First off, I doubt they'd just wander in and act clueless. First Contact would have protocols in a space-faring species.

Our reaction could be any of the ten or a mix

I wonder if their protocol's would include bringing cheese cake and coffee?

    Which reminds me

They could bring The Universal Language or a little book called "To Serve Man". And/or anything in between. I just worry that they will get to know us before they land.
