11 MPs are moving to impeach Tony Blair for taking Britain to war in Iraq. As the occupation turns uglier still, this may bring a new debate into Commons over the justifications, or lack therof, for this morass. I'm curious to hear from British if this anger is likely to actually accomplish anything. I am often jealous as an American of the noticeably more open and responsive debate within British Parliament, in comparison with that of American Congress. So I'll be wistfully watching, if an impeachment debate does ensue, and cheering for the triumph of truth and democracy.
