None to do so would be a crime.

I think folk forget the purpose and function of breasts.

And I find it ironically sad that as more mothers feed their child with a premix from the super market that there is an unhealthy preoccupation with larger breasts.

    Off topic.

I think one can find a message in my story.

Whilst having a most enjoyable conversation with a lady at the then my local pub...she had large breasts and showed a large portion of them by her choice in clothes .
    she said.
"You know what I like about you Alex you don't talk to my breasts"

Eye contact with a man was somewhat novel.

What has being the only doctor in the world got to do with the morality of abortion or the laws regarding abortion? I get the point that there would be no one else to do it but that's still beside the point.

    Perhaps the more important question:

What does "religious freedom" and "freedom from persecution" mean?

To my understand, freedom of religion means "I cannot do that because it is against my religion" (ergo, "I cannot have an abortion because I don't believe in them" or "I cannot have a homosexual relationship because I do not believe in them")

Telling someone else "You cannot do that because it is against my religion" would seem to be persecution (ergo, "You cannot have an abortion because I don't believe in them" or "You cannot have a homosexual relationship because I do not believe in them")

Seems like a simple distinction all told...

Thus, if your religion would prevent you from being party to something that you are uniquely equipped to provide (such as a service industry, medical industry, etc), then perhaps the correct response is to not be in said industry... or to realize that your "religious freedom" allows you to not do said action yet does not allow you to prohibit others from doing so.

I think that is, exactly, the point, though - in many areas, facilities that otherwise provided these services are being shut down because of this mindset of "I don't believe in this, thus you cannot do it"... how is that any different than "You must marry this person I've chosen for you because my religion gives me that right" or "You will be killed because you said something that offends my religion"?

All are implying that someone else's freedom of religion trumps that person's freedom of religion and right to bodily autonomy.

The point is that if the law is that doctors do abortions then if you are a doctor you do abortions. If all medical decisions rely on the doctor's personal view of morality then they won't be done if that is the doctor's viewpoint.

In that case, the person in question probably shouldn't choose to work somewhere that does abortions.

    Matthew 22:21
Then He said to them, "Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's."

    Titus 3:1
Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed,

    1 Peter 2:13
Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,

    Add in:

    also

The law does not provide that the act (abortion) pertains to homicide, for there cannot yet be said to be a live soul in a body that lacks sensation... what an important point to make, as it sets a rather simple standard - there is nothing in scripture that says abortion is a sin, or should not be done, until the point at which the viable child has a soul, presumed to be at 24 weeks.

So, even from a "religious" standpoint, these folks haven't a leg to stand on. God not only commands them to submit to their duties to crown and country even if they should be in supposed contradiction to their held beliefs, but there is no law in the bible that even speaks to abortion other than late term (post 24 week), and even then, exceptions are noted for cases where the mothers life hangs in the balance, as noted by biblical scholars.

So... yeah. This isn't about "religious freedom" as much as it is about foisting their religious views on another.

"If you were the only girl in the world
And I were the only boy...."

If you were the only anything in the world, your obvious priority would be to make more. Long-term thinking versus short-term.

    At another pub.
This lady is a friend I have sleepy over at her house after various parties (on an island and the ferry stops at sunset).
She had been talking non stop for about 30 minutes and she grabs my hand and says " I like being with you...you are such a great conversationalist".
My contribution to the conversation was... Yes, no, really, then what happened, really etc.
You see you sit at a table with some guys and gals, six, and the guys talk and the gals don't get a word in.
They get to talk in their groups but clearly it is rare for them to express opinions at a mixed table.
We were sitting at a table by ourselves.
I actually like her very much but prefer just to be friends.

She might not feel the same way.

On the other hand, the conditions of the scenario irrefutably mean that there are no more laws - except what the two living people decide are laws.

Hint. They are done everywhere. If a doctor is in a situation where a procedure (no matter what the procedure is) is called for and the doctor refused to do the procedure due to a belief they should loose their licence

As a atheist I would never go for the pope's job because I don't believe in god

If you don't believe in something stay out of any job, profession, calling which has within it that which you don't believe in

The law has absolutely no position on the the soul what so ever

The firs pair I ever saw had been removed from a patient who had a bad reaction. They were lying in vat of formalin - these stupid little sacks of transparent... nothing... And they were slightly different weights!
OTH, some little while later, I learned that they could be an enormous emotional and social asset to mastectomy patients.
That redeems the implant, not the plastic surgeon who grows wealthy by turning interesting young women into Stepford wives.

No problem with sensible reasons of usage

Years ago I did have an encounter with a lady who had well and truly over extended the definition of sensible usage

    Brought up two memories

Red Skelton talking about a large breasted entertainment woman. Straight man ask Red
    what does she do?
    Red replies
she comes out on stage and stands up

    Second memory
Dispite the pleasant atmosphere I was stupidly thinking
I have another hole to fill at home and this gel feels like it could be just what I need
