We are fragmenting. Diversity is becoming an obstacle. Everyone is settling into their little sphere of oppressed minorities. Is there a Cultural Identity that might mend the divide, or will we fall farther from a common shared heritage?

The answer is no. The rise of right-wing entertainment precludes a yes.

In the past when this faction - the white Christian supremicist faction now visible as the Republican core voter and electoral embodiment of American fascism - split off from the rest of the country as they have been splitting since Reagan, it culminated in a Civil War.

When these guys roll, it almost always ends in war of some kind.

How they will behave this time around is anybody's guess.

Is all the internet is right-wing? The internet has allowed everyone to form hug-boxes, surround themselves with like minds and only information that reinforces their bias, forming ever deeper circle jerks of ever more whacked ideas. Increasing inability and listen to tolerate and entertain counterpoints and alternative ideas and ideologies is a pathology run rampant from right to left. Other symptoms include demonizing all that disagree, name calling from "cuck" to fascist", victim complex, virtue signalling, dog whistling, etc.

As to identity politics the rise of the SJW has caused a resurgence in white and male supremacist, culminating in the election of president trump. If only we had listen to the dulcet voice of reason:

That's not how I view it. Though there is a darker side on the right, most people just don't see things getting any better in general. Desperation brought us to this point in history.

Yes as long as middle class stagnates people will get more and more radicalized in trying to solve the problem. And when a vocal segment of the population (often with good incomes and a 'let them eat cake' mentality), proclaims that everyone else should shut up about their problems unless they are not white, male, straight or cis, it only make the radicalization grow faster and away from everything that position is associated with.

No, misinformation and right-wing entertainment have brought us to this point in history.

    Bullshit.

The only "SJW" stuff those guys ever encountered is what they got secondhand from dingbat TV and their local hate radio. And their white male supremacist identities go back to the frigging Civil War.

They voted in Reagan, and it wasn't because of the sjw; they voted in W, they voted by the tens of millions for Palin, and sjw had nothing to with it. They completely lost their shit when Obama somehow won - seriously, ran around in a panic like a bunch of chickens after a firecracker - and no sjw to be seen. Nothing but plain old Civil War leftover "identity politics".

"College kids calling me names made me do it" has got to be the most pathetic excuse for voting in this decade's Republican disaster we've heard yet.

I don't see this. What are you talking about? Are you doing that weird YouTube thing again, where some guy who doesn't like the same stuff you don't like freaks out about something you both don't like so you decide it must be everyone's reality?

Dude, anyone can go on youtube and watch endless reams of SJWs speak with their own mouths, anyone can go on facebook, twitter, tumblr, etc, and find them.

yeah yeah and? now NOW the SJW are part of the blame. Today's circumstances, be in a present, be in the now, be solution orientated, your narrative that this is all the same fuckers reincarnated since the civil war points to no solutions, mine says we need to focus on progressive polices that brings in voters we lost and retard people from voting for the other side, your solution is what? it is all fucked and we need a second civil war??? Well with the rate automation is going we are either going to get more socialized or exterminism, so yes a second civil war is possible.

You mean like how the left has lost their shit with trump being elected? The right believed Obama was some kind of Muslim communist plant, and apparently enough on the left think trump is literally Hitler, to form Antifa rallies and protests and riots and only embolden the right. We need to instead, join the democratic party, go to the meetings, demand progressive policy and outreach, and an end to cronyist corporatist democrats that have lost everything to the republicans. Protests and riots do nothing, worse then nothing: they make us look bad.

    Strawman.

So? That's hardly where Trump voters encountered their "sjw".

Which is a good thing - consider the alternative: 40 million grown men surfing the internet for hours to find homemade videos of dweebs dissing them, and then getting so bent out of shape by what some pencilneck put up on youtube they change their vote for President of the United States.

    Adult, grown, working men.
Not enough to matter. Your obsessions are a fart in the wind - this voting pattern is fifty years old at least.
Nope. I mean tens of millions of grown men in a frantic tizzy, many of them with firearms. Many of them Congressmen in the US government.
    So on one side of the scale we have more than 60% of the Republican voting base so racially blown away they end up believing the utterly crackpot and delusional, and Walmart stores all across the country selling out of ammunition for firearms;

and on the other side we have a couple of hundred college age kids somewhere in California who don't know enough history to think of Mussolini, have exaggerated the similarities between fascist Hitler and fascist Trump, and put ski masks on to feel dangerous when they spraypaint graffiti on stuff.

    What's your point?

I don't think even a single organic hardware store sold out of spraypaint.
Nope. Wish it was - be more dignity in this disaster.

Says who? I talked to trump voters, IRL, this is where they see it, on facebook, on youtube, what are they lying to me?

Yes, YES! Call adult grown working men, oppressors and unworthy of sympathy long enough and they turn towards the likes of the Donald.

We usually just call that "American", which contains the promise of welcoming immigrants and a multicultural identity. I realize the American right wing never truly accepted it, especially now as they drift farther into fascism and white supremacy.

Not for most people. Most people are just fine with diversity.
Yep. Even the white majority. To listen to them you'd think they were being herded into gas chambers.

Lying by omission, at a minimum, sure. Possibly they are simply oblivious and confused, like you.

They are getting their facebook and youtube links selected and edited and paraphrased for them, from rightwing mass media feeds, not their own investigation. Like you with Kangaroo Boy's feed, which you presented here as an example of an analysis of "liberal" and "leftwing" politics.

And they are hearing about what they are looking at in these selected feeds, how to talk and think about it, from rightwing authoritarian media purveyors, such as Limbaugh and Fox. And Sykes and Ckearchannel and 3/4 of the pundits on all the major media there is.

    That's their world.

How else could they get such a screwed up cartoonish impression of "liberals"?
Or be said to have done that for fifty years by professional marketers of Republican swill they listen to and believe, and they "turn to" the same kinds of people (Republicans) they've been voting for for fifty years - Reagan, W&Cheney, McCain&Palin, Trump&Pence.

MTV explaining 'cultural appropriation'. Its one of the most nauseating 'movements' to come out of the Left. And does absolutely nothing to expand cultural ties or bridge racial gaps, nor does it build on cultural understanding. All it does is piss people off and create a backlash to 'political correctness'.

Still beats racism by miles, one of the most nauseating 'traditional values' to find a festering home on the right.

You find young black women explaining ordinary things you may or may not agree with, cheerfully and plainly and without anger or disparagement, nauseating. Odd.
And so what if you do?
Is that why the racial bigots and frustration fueled dumbasses who voted for Reagan, W, Trump, etc, did that - some retroactive reaction to MTV videos they still haven't seen?
How did the fairly well-off, white, uneducated, Republican men you are claiming changed their vote for President,

trashed their country's governance and their children's future out of spite at feeling (quite appropriately) criticized for their rudeness, arrogance, and racial bigotry,

based on something they didn't like about stuff they don't understand anyway,

    even hear about it?

That's just the point it doesn't "beat racism". It has nothing to do with combatting racism. How is admonishing M. Cyrus for wearing dreads combatting racism? How does changing the name of a football club change racism? It doesn't.

I never said it pissed off Republicans, I said it pissed people off because it doesn't address any of the mechanisms that create racism. Madonna wearing dreads isn't the cause of racism.
What that woman was explaining aren't just 'ordinary things' its a product of a false narrative. The false narrative is that if you teach people the do's and don'ts of cross-cultural social interaction that it will lead to less racism. All it really does is reinforce stere0type that heretofore didn't exist. So for example is it cultural appropriation if a black person straightens their hair? Is it cultural appropriation if a child wears an American Indian costume for Halloween? Do I have to ask a Japanese person if its okay if I wear a traditional Kimono out of 'sensitivity'? Its bs. Its a form of control that is not helpful, telling young people that this makes them 'sensitive' to another's culture and that its important doesn't do a thing to stem racism. It doesn't even address culture since culture is always a continuous blend of evolution that comes from different sources. Blacks can no more own 'twerking' or 'rap' or 'dreads' than Europeans can 'own' classical music or ballet. If you take cultural appropriation to its final conclusion all blacks should play the drums and not classical music, black women should 'twerk' and dance African inspired dance not study ballet because they're 'stealing it'. Its illogical and bad for society. I would go so far to say that its a re-imagining of old race politics in the sense that Nina Simone who had studied classical piano was turned away from a world class music conservatory because classical music 'wasn't for her'. On the other hand if it weren't for that she wouldn't have become such a great Jazz singer but that wasn't her dream.
