Hummer Feeder changes.!!!

After about 3 days i woud have about 30 little flys in my bird feeder water... they was goin thru the feeder hole... also wasps was stickin ther head down the hole an feedin an yellow jackets an other flys kept tryin to feed at the big holes... so i put tape over all the holes but 1... an on that hole i put tape over mos of the hole... i left jus enuff room for a round toothpick to slide in an out... the hummers feed jus fine an the little flys an wasps dont com aroun any mor... somtimes a yellow jacket will try to feed but seems to give up perty soom.!!!

Good idea but maybe a wire screen would be better as long as the hummers can stick their tongue into through the screen.

Holes that small mite work but round toothpick size holes (ther beak easily fits thu) seems small enuff to solve the prollem... i dont know why they make the holes so big in the feeders.???
