Well, we've seen your gambit. (Geez.)

I think seagypsy was asking about a game plan.

Do you know the expression: "cut to the chase"?

I think it would be hard to follow a thread that wants to apply certain (dubious to me) principles of psychology if the goal is to give the psychologist some advantage in the manner of a chess move.

Where does humanism factor in to this? I feel like I came for the free chicle that comes with the haircut but instead was given a rock to chew on.

My profession is irrelevant. You started a thread that presumably has a goal. I came here to learn from you. But you haven't managed to teach me anything. There doesn't seem to be any goal or structure to your post.

You have no means of proving to us that you hold the profession you claim unless you are willing to tell us your full name, address of your practice, and send us copies of your diplomas. I would not advise you to attempt to provide any of those proofs simply because any well raised 12 year old knows the dangers in telling strangers online your personal information. Incase you are not sure why, it's because there is no psychological evaluation required to get online, you don't know what kind of wackos are reading your posts. People who make the mistake of revealing such information often end up stalked, harassed and even disappear.

Now, I can telly you I am a clinical psychiatrist, or a taxi driver, or a veterinarian, a police officer, a university professor with a phd, or an astronaut. Unless I provide you with personal details so that you can verify my claims, and I will not give you such information, you have no way to prove me a liar. I have to take you at your word that you are a psychologist initially, but I will judge you by your posts regardless of what profession you claim to hold. You are free to judge me by my posts just like everyone else.

You have refused to provide us links to any documentation not written by yourself that substantiates what you present as accepted psychological concepts. This leads me to believe, if you are a psychologist, you are not highly respected in your field or your ideas are on the fringe and not to be taken too seriously.

Because You only focused on a single point.

This is just a forum website, I'm sure what I am. This is not a jobs company. If you want, you can search my name in quotes: "elvis sibilia".

I understand your words, but you're not honest with yourself.

Well, I've mostly written and published in Spanish, but it will seem disrespectful to say you to consult this information. Again, try to search: http://www.monografias.com/trabajos52/caracter-creencias/caracter-creencias.shtml

You are sure what you are. Good for you. I am sure what I am. But I am not sure what you are, and you are not sure what I am. See how that works?

How have I been dishonest with myself? Can you quote me and explain what remarks I directed at myself that are dishonest? I doubt it because I don't generally make posts directed at myself.

Also anyone can write and publish themselves online. Having a website that promotes your own ideas does not validate your claims. If it did, then the views of Neonazi skinheads and Al Qaeda terrorists would be validated because they too own websites and publish their ideas on them. We asked you to provide publications written by respected professionals in the field other than yourself that support your ideas. Otherwise your ideas carry no more weight than mine do.

    That's so.

I don't seek personal glory, I just seek to show my ideas that they are original. For me is enough the interest aroused by this thread: 1643 visits at this moment in 12 days. And It motivated me to create a blog.

But you havent actually shown your ideas yet.... I'm feeling cheated here. What are your ideas? Will it matter if you post a blog, if the people who read it can't tell what you are going on about. At this point your "expressed ideas" seem as coherent and clear as the mumblings of a semi conscious drunken schizophrenic under the stairs leading to a subway.

Tell us your ideas, clearly. What is the final conclusion about, whatever it is your are rambling about, that you hope to lead us to?

I feel like I have signed up for a course at a college and have shown up for class but the professor hasn't decided what he wants to teach us yet and nary a syllabus has been provided as a clue.

No one has accused you of seeking glory. We have only stated that we can't figure out what you are talking about.

Also you failed to answer my question:
    You said:
    I replied:
You made a claim, an accusation even. I asked for evidence or explanation. If you refuse to do so it will be interpreted as admittance of error on your part. So I am giving you this chance again to explain it before I completely dismiss you as a fraud unworthy of any further attention.

hahahaha. Don't make me laugh. Your're so funny. I'm not the teachers that they are guided by their students.

I mean that you have to open your mind to see what others show you.

Ah, don't forget English is not my first language.

Your English didn't come through very well there so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Did you mean to say you are not a teacher that is guided by students?

If that is the case, GOOD! We don't want to guide you, if you are the teacher you should guide us. But you are not guiding anyone, you are losing us. You have given us a map but have not told us what the destination is. We have no clue what your ideas are. This entire thread is a battle to get you to clarify and explain your ideas in a way we can understand.

If you have no intention to teach, then what was your motivation for starting the thread?

My mind is very open, you just aren't showing me anything other than ink blots without explanation. Also you should look up the word dishonest. Having a closed mind is not the same as being dishonest with one's self. Either way, my mind is neither closed nor am I dishonest with myself. I'll give you about two more posts to produce something inspiring for us to learn from then I'm going to waste no more of my time with you.

I need more than two posts. I need three things:

    1 - Time.
2 - That You ask whatever you want and you expose your doubts.
3 - To know your professional area.

My time is as valuable as yours.

As the one who starts a thread, sibilia, you are expected to give it some direction to move toward.

The greatest 'humanistic behaviorism' demonstrated thus far is curiosity. We are unable to understand what you would have us learn from this exercise.

Frustration is a normal response for our species when we lack comprehension and have run out of ideas of how to proceed. We will then move on to other avenues that do more to satisfy our interests and desire to learn.

It isn't correct to try to impose our will towards others.

This is a discussion forum where ideas flow freely. The path that is identified is the balance that everyone should go to know its destination. We can't go with them. It should be traveled it alone.

The balance is moving without falling.

HOW DOES THE HUMANISTIC BEHAVIORISM WORK?

The H. B. works reinforcing behaviors of: self-realization, development of intellect, politeness, gentleness and seriousness. The H. B. disapproved behaviors of: delinquency, aggression, cunning trickster, the sexmania, excessive ambition, selfishness, arrogance, bigotry and social prejudice.

The H. B. also stimulates the practice of creativity and reflection in those cases that are manifest these traits.

Reinforcement is a concept of Behaviorism, but this current studies only observable aspects of behavior ignoring mental aspects of the individual.

In our therapeutic practice we emphasize skills and virtues that mostly presents the subject. The reinforcement of these it will make the weaknesses and defects have no effect on behavior.

NOTE: The subject of homosexuality is passed.

You used up one post with your list of demands.

1-So take all the time you need to create that one post gives me clear indication of what it is you are trying to teach or present here.
2- Have I shown any inclination to do anything other than ask questions and point out my doubts?
3 - Why do you need to know my professional area? And why do you need to know my professional area and not the profession of any other posters? Why am I so special? Are you going to tailor your concepts to fit what you think I will accept? Have you heard of Schrödinger's cat? It's an experiment usually associated with physics but it can apply in psychology as well. In this case you have a woman who's professional area you do not know. You want to present a concept in psychology to her in a way that you are understood. You have two choices. Either the woman is a highly skilled, well trained, and deeply respected expert in the field of psychology, or she has no formal training whatsoever. You have no way of knowing which. Assuming the concepts you would like to present are consistent regardless of who you present them to, it would be best for you to consider her to be both. Fully trained beyond your own level of expertise AND possessing no professional training whatsoever.

This means you should present your idea is the simplest, most concise and easy to follow terms possible, while at the same time making certain that your concepts are tested, peer reviewed and perceived by the majority of those in your field of study to be sound and reliable concepts. Because if they are not, an expert beyond your level of training will spot a bottle of woo in a heartbeat and publicly shatter your thesis to pieces.

Now I see, since I have been away all day, you have already posted new material. I will read over it. If it is still incoherent and hard to determine what your thesis even is, I will make it known that I believe you to be a fraud and refuse to patronize your thread any further.

    WHAT'S THE AMBIPHRENISM?

The ambiphrenia (from Latin ambi = mixed, both and from Greek phrenia = intelligence) is the capacity that a person has to think with both hemispheres of brain. In the skillful right hand persons the dominant hemisphere is the left, in which it's located the logic, the language and the calculation. In the right hemisphere (no dominant) it's located the imagination, the creativity and the space understanding.

The system of thought Ambiphrenism is based in the use and development of both cerebral hemispheres. Between the exercises that we can put in practice to stimulate and to develop the no-dominant hemisphere are: to learn writing with the left hand (if you are right-hand), to draw with frequency, to write your interior experiences (psychoanalysis) and to practice Intuinics.

The ambiphrenical person is dedicated to develop their cerebral hemispheres. While the ambiphrenist is the person that understands and accepts the precepts of Ambiphrenism. You can be ambiphrenist without being ambiphrenical.

I directed them to your pseudoscientific ideas. I focused on your ideas, not your appearance.

Commenting on her appearance in this setting is inappropriate, almost creepy. You should know that.

“Naturally, attention to physical appearance has been hardwired into our neural circuitry over a few millennia, however, you better believe it’s never acceptable to judge anyone based on appearances and number of X chromosomes.”
