Philosophy Warning I think a spirit or soul is like water. You can have an ocean of it, as in the case of god, should such a being exist. You can also have a glass, like a person, or a drop, like a rat. I don't think its something only we have. I think the soul grows as a life form becomes more intelligent. I think a human zygote has about the same amount of spirit as a bacterium.
