Reason for my question . Is the formation of the moon. Torah is an old writing and in it it mention that God ordered to form a moon , yet the investigation on moon formation are relatively new.

Why would the moon need to be investigated in order to notice its blatantly in your face and exists every night you look up in the sky?

It's widely thought that Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible, although Genesis is the one people are least certain about.

In Genesis it says the earth was there and later the moon was formed . According to scientific investigation the moon was formed after the existent of the planet earth ( Wiki )
Investigation of the moon in out time started about 600 tears ago . So How could the writer of Genesis know that ?

They didn't know that - it was, at best, a guess.
According to Genesis the Sun (and all the stars) was formed at the same time (after Earth and after night and day - somewhat difficult considering that night and day occur because of the Sun).
In other words it's made up bullsh*t.

When did writing enter in history.
At best any account must have been written well after the event...mind you creation could not have been witnessed by a human so the book could not be an eye witness account.

So all that remains for reasonable consideration is irrespective of who wrote the creation chapter where did they get their information?
If the source can not be identified then all a reasonable person may conclude is the author made up the story.
Believers will say yes he did because the author was inspired by God and of course no one can argue against that for those who believe such will provide that answer and believe it works that way...such is belief.
Well if one believes the creation chapter was created under God's evidence probably will have difficulty explaining how God got so many aspects entirely wrong
Opps too much logic and not enough faith...
