It is always hilariously amusing to stumble into an aging thread and see how far off its original course it has gone.

"How far would Hitler have gone?".

In a unique irony, it is strongly hinted by history, that Hitler did exactly the same thing as mimicked here. During the war, he dicked around with his generals and other advisers, endlessly pointlessly bickering about the best way to dance on a pinhead. That's how far he went.

That's how far he went. He endlessly dicked around arguing about pointless details. Just to prove who was really boss.

He went as far as he would have gone. Reality is reality. He went as far as a dank cave after totally fucking any chance to genuinely help his nation or his personal well being, and committed suicide in utter despair and disgrace.

Who had the best tank. Who had the first jet. Who cares.

He did went exactly as far he would have went. Reality, what a concept!

If the German army could have defeated the threat in front of it, and brought the war to a conclusion, then Hitler would have found a way to either spare that army, and thus keep the war going, or provoke more enemies to join the fray against him.

Why? Because he had to. That man had no hope of keeping power if the war ever ended. The Nazis had simply provoked too many people in their own country on too many occasions, in too many ways, with their arrogance and "traitor"-calling. The German people couldn't do anything back to them because it would mean overthrowing their own leadership in the middle of a war.

He knew and spoke of it many times that he had no desire to go to the Americas. His main focus was Europe, Africa and Asia. In the beginning he spoke of not wanting anything to do with the US. He avoided any confrontation with us. And infact we more or less supported him for a long time before the war began. It wasn't until we were forced into the war and thus forced to support Britain that he said if we bring the war, he will fight us and that we would be defeated. Throughout his reign not once did he express any desire to cross the Atlantic. He knew he didn't have the means or resources to do such a task. Hell, he didn't even have the Navy to attack Britain, what in Gods good name would make him think he could get over to the US?

    Hitler was crazy, not ignorant.

It could have been like Britain. First bombing then an invasion. (ofcourse Hitler never was able to invade Britain, but i'm sure it was in his agenda)

Yah, other than maybe Britain and north Africa Hitler wouldnt have gotten anything more.

If he tried to attack America his advisors would have shot him dead.
He may have been too retarded to figure out that America could eventually annihalate them, but his advisors and even Japan weren't.

not even bomb, that bomber wouldnt have had any escort, considering America's war capacity to turn out decent-good quality machines at ridiculous rate those bombers would have been decimated after the first few raids.

Agreed. It has been said multiple times by the best historians that Hitlers first massive mistake was declaring war on America. He had no reason or ties to do so, even if Japan had declared war Germany was not bound to just as how Japan did not fight the Russians even though the Germans were.

The miracle at Dunkirk, that was Hitler's f*ck up too, one of the few operations he personally commands and he f*cks it up. He could have annihalated Britains army right than and there.

He couldnt even take Great Britain and he was stupid enough to declare war on america. SERIOUSLY, what was his plan? He got NOTHING out of it and chances are lost the war because of it.

I don't know. I think declaring war on America was his biggest, but not his first major mistake. Attacking Russia at all, let alone in the winter, was a huge mistake. Three cities held back the German Werhmacht.

He could have had Britain. But he started bombing London instead of finishing up te airfields in the North.

Hitler wouldn't have stopped until someone stopped him, as was the case. Power and delusion are a terrible mix, especially for a dictator.

That's questionable. There was no indication that he was planning a worldwide conquest. but on the other hand, germany was producing some suspicious weapons that with some fine-tuning might have posed a threat to America. It all depends on how you see it.

Germany had no weapons that would have posed a significant threat to America at any period of time.
