This is a personal survey, especially about online identity theft. Is it common, rare or not applicable in your country?

I read somewhere that most ID theft happen in the US, because of easy access to personal data and easy opening of creditlines. I wonder about the situation in other countries...

I don't think most of the people even know that it exists or how serious a thing it is. But it would be applicable in my country. (Türkiye) People are aware of the danger of using credit cards online, (money,eh) but not much about the ID theft. I don't think it would be common in a 3rd world country though, would it?
