Pfft, missed one: Six DAY War.
(Six-minutes would have beaten the previous record for shortest war [38 minutes]).

No. As I said earlier, you couldn't possibly invent some of this stuff.

Yes. See the comment on spell checkers above, too.

The funniest ones were chosen, I'm sure. This is not a scientific study of the average student response.

Collage is an essential course study. No oral exams tho.

How do you people get along without it???

Well if you read 1066 And All That (subtitled All the History You Can Remember) it clearly states that in 1945 the US became top nation and therefore history came to a full stop.
With the (natural) corollary that the only history that counts is/ was ours

The book was about kings who were Good Things (or Bad Things) and who died from surfeits of lampreys etc: all the real stuff...

    What's the time span?
I read some of them 20 years ago.

If I remember correctly it starts around 55 BC, when Caesar turned up: one of only two ACTUAL dates in the book. (The other, of course, being 1066).
Apologies: 1945 wasn't given as a date, it simply said that when WWII ended the US was declared Top Nation.
But it's a very thin book, (as it should be, because it's only the stuff you remember after you've finished school).
