Yeah I just heard. Hillary was slow with her offer. Now she is going to play the screw you over game.

    Here's the math...

    - The total number for DNC is 4,051 (as number needed is 2,026).
    - There are 797 superdelegates.
    - So 3,254 total possible pledged delegates
    - Therefore, 1,627 is the number needed for majority.
    - Obama has 1,599 pledged delegates.
    - So that would mean he needs 28 pledged delegates for a majority.
    - Edwards' 18 -- even if they all voted for Obama -- would leave the Illinois senator 10 short.
    - That's a number Obama would certainly pick up May 20th. Between the contests in Kentucky and Oregon there are a total of 103 delegates are at stake.

Well it sounds like the fat lady has sung. Unfortunately, the lady in the pant suit has not sung yet. I would love to hear her sing in her pant suit! Ironically her attacks on Obama, claiming he was unelectable, is what brought her down. She just was not smart enough to play nice during these last few weeks.
Now the party is trying to stop the damage and rallying around Obama. I think she is now toast. The question now is how well does she want to get toasted. If she falls in line, she can have a future in the party. If she wants to hurt the party and/or Obama, she will get well done. I am certian, she wants a weak Obama so she can set herself up for 2012.
I think Obama-Edwards would make a very good ticket.

If she weaken obama to much she will have a very difficult time in the party (they will roast her to a cinder), point is if obama loses the election the party officials will blame the fat lady in the pant suit.

And two states ignored. Great. Another stolen election. Because that's just what we need.

Wake me up when September ends.

By that logic nearly all elections are "stolen".

No states were stolen. One they all agreed to the rules before the election began...including hillary. And she had no problem with excluding Florida and Michigan then. It is only now that she has lost is she interested in those states. And she is only interested in the voters in Michigan that voted for her and not against her. The vote in Michigan was a for hillary or against hillary vote.

In the end, I don't think Michigan and Florida are going to matter...even if they give her the votes the way she wants them.

She would gain 122 votes if she got it how she wants it, it would be close but obama would still win by a few dozen pledge delegates (not assuming the supers don't finish hillary off first.)

Florida was kind of stolen by the Republican controlled legislature. They moved the primary date, not the Democrats.

It really doesnt matter what the DNC wants or what Hillary wants. The people of those states deserve a say. We need less voter disenfranchisment, not more.

They're not going to matter because our glorified politicos have decided that the say of those Americans doesn't matter.

Then let's split both states delegates 50/50 and seat them all.

Don't worry they are probably going to get seating, but divided up between Hillary and Obama. Hillary might gain 30 delegates tops, nothing changes.

Yes Geoff your Republican colors are showing. The only way to conduct a fair election in those states is to re-do the election. A lot of voters in those states did not vote because they knew, were told in advance, that their votes would not count. So if your vote does not count why show up at the poll? It is a waste of time. The results of the elections that did occur were not fair because of this issue.

If you want someone to blame, I think you need to look at the Republican administrations and state legislatures that deliberately disobeyed the rules knowing full well the consequences. So ultimately it was you the Republicans you so love that disenfranchised the voters in these states...more dirty trick politics. Why am I not suprised? I don't know how you guys live with yourselves.

I'm a socialist, you twit. I have as much in common with the RNC as a rock does with a fish.

    Best regards,

Don't pretend to something that isn't true, boy.

"Oh! You don't support Obama, you must be a McCainite!"

    Grow up, you big girl.

    Best regards,

    GeoffP
