For anyone who's ever wondered why we learn QFT using Majorana/Wey spinors, but need Dirac spinors to do calculations, here is a ground breaking new paper by Dreiner, Haber and Martin. They develop a set of rules so that you can do calculations with Weyl and Majorana Spinors, instead of Dirac spinors. This saves you the pain of having to learn how to use projection operators.

I think that, personally, my physics knowledge has been delayed at least a few months due to confusion about Dirac spinors.

I highly suggest this review to anyone learning QFT, or who has learned QFT and is confused. Hopefully the next generation of QFT textbooks will incorporate this formalism.
