Google Earth offline size?

    yeah
    purists would say bloat
    stryder had done an analysis in the past that resulted in a much lower estimate. kinda like a single high res photo for a specific spot. i think thats more to the point than bloating the database with viewer submitted photos of local neighborhoods (if that does happen)

    still tho, i do not what "raw imagery" actually means. is it just sat shots?

    I was in maplins today and saw a USB mem card for 128mb going for £4.99. I thought - cute!!

    thats like nothing...I use usb drives with at least 1GB memory and they costs around 15$.

    For a fiver I'd expect a gigabyte. Maplins don't move with the times unfortunately, and a lot of their computing hardware is over priced.

    To put their prices in perspective, I just ordered a 64Gb USB drive for £18 from Ebay. It's best to shop around. I do like browsing their catalogue though, thinking up things I could make, if I dusted off my soldering iron.
