They want to tell everyone else how to live, they undermine science, they subscribe to archaic codes of morality, they abuse their children physically and mentally... shall I go on?

 

Is it wrong to suggest don't have premarital sex .
Is it wrong to rise children to have respect to elders ?
Is it wrong to teach children in class room to have respect the teacher and been quiet in class ?
and so on......

 

Suggestions are one thing, implementing failed policies of not teaching kids anything about sex (in a pubic secular school) is another.
By abuse, I certainly don't mean teaching them to respect elders and teachers. I mean scaring them about hell, and advocating physical beatings and spankings (and also sometimes trusting them with celibate priests).

 

I believe fear is a good instrument . It helps us to survive , respect each other and it should be induced into a child : call it hell, fire , police, large animals , deep water and so on

You're generalizing a group of people. Could those attributes be ascribed to anyone else, or is it just widely assumed to be the religious?

 

Of course I'm generalizing. Some religions tend to lead to those actions. Not to say that they can't happen outside of religion, but there's a pattern.

 

I think there are differing approaches for any of those who follow any particular faith. Interesting enough, most the charitable organizations in my town are churches. So they involve themselves in helping those in need, but I'm certain there are those who are more aggressive in their religious fervor. Much like Islam, there are more than a billion believers, yet we hear mostly about those who kill and destroy.

God would have certain nature. He must be able, compassionate, moral, happy, and perfect.

 

That rules out the Christian god as well as the rest of them.
