The man with the facts and how to pass them on. For me it's like The Lord of the Rings. The impending war between good and evil. Start by voting in the 2014 midterms. Get out there and demand to be paid for working your ass off not for what some self serving ideologue sociopath thinks it's worth.

Agreed. And if they disagree, quit and find a better company that WILL pay you what you are worth.

IOWs, do not quit your job and find another that pays you what you think your labor-hours are worth, but instead get out there and "VOTE" to use the State to force (steal from) your employer and make him/her pay you what you think your labor is worth - even though no one else in our so-called 'free' society thinks your labor-hours are worth that much.

Yes, spoken like a true-blue, red-blooded Amerikkkan. Hey, while we're at it - let's use the State to force Americans to pay a minimum for cups of coffee, cars - well, hell, everything. Why stop at labor-hours. The sky's the limit.

IMO, brucep here is the face of the modern American - a natural reflection of any society at this stage in Empire. And the brucep's of America will not hesitate one second to turn to the State's use of everything from "eminent domain" (stealing) to "taxation" (stealing) and "regulations" (property rights violation) to redistribute from you - to them. Come the mid-term "election" any demagogue willing to take from you and given to them - is going to garnish their vote. Over time, they will become the majority.

    Welcome to "Democracy"

A 100 years of Progressive Central-Banking, Regulatory Socialism and State-run "Public Schools" have finally reduced Americans to menial worker-cogs only fit for work at the local fast-food franchise chains. And, soon to be replaced by cheaper, friendlier and more-efficient robots. Well, there's always Cannon-Fodder. There's a job the State can create.

And you Michael don't even know what "progressive fascism" is. It certainly isn't what you seem to think it is. But if nothing else, you are consistent. You just make stuff up to suit your ideological needs.

Thank the Gods our Political "Leaders"/Masters/servants bailed out Generous Motors at a tax payer loss of $11.2 billion. Not that the State cares, it wastes $80 billion a year on Department of "Education" and has for decades. Or the $100s of billions it wastes on the NSA to spy on us. Or the unknown Trillions it wastes killing women and children in other countries because they're "Communists" or "Terrorists" or whatever....

It's kind of funny to see you so critical of the company which put food in your belly, clothes on your back and a roof over your head.

By the way, those defects occurred prior to the government rescue. It's good the company is stepping up to the plate.

Economic fascism is the formal collusion between certain key interests and various arms of the State. In this case it's the Crony business elite at General Motors being bailed out (just like their Crony Banking cousins) by the Federal Government. In a free society GM would have filed for bankruptcy and the valued aspects (what little there is) would have been sold off to buyers, and the worthless aspects (the majority) - quickly disposed of. The company would have either worked with creditors to restructure, or it'd be done. Done and done.

Instead the State dumped more debt onto the unborn - to be paid for (with interest) by less opportunities and more taxes. But hey, at least they can catch a ride in a crappy made GM car to the soup-kitchen. So that the State could bail out another crooked, incompetently run, Crony-Corporation filled with retired Babies who were more than happy to take 'early' retirement - - on their grandchildren's dime (most of whom will not be retiring ever and will work paying the State until the day they die, many choosing never to have families of their own, because they can no longer afford to do so AND pay for their Baby grandparents).

Imagine if, instead of one generation being able to sell debt on the next, we sold the debt on a 'race' or a 'gender' in the present. Say, instead of taking a 30 year loan out on the unborn, the State took a present day loan, on black Americans - and then tried to justify it by saying it was "Good for America" or "You use the roads". African Americans, and only they, had to pay. Oh, and they also don't get the right to vote on the debts they'll incur and be forced (at the point of a gun) to pay back. This IS what is being done (was done) to the X/Y and Millennials by their arse-hole grandparents (who lived as the most wealthiest generation of humans - ever, destroying the planet in the pollution as they well).

So, it's not black Americans, it's the next THREE generations of Americans. All so that one generation (the Babyboomers) could get very cheap (many time free) University - and the next get's to spend $100,000 for a lower quality education. One generation get's a football stadium, and the jobs constructing it, and the cheap seats at the subsidized games, and the jobs demolishing it - but the entire bill is stuck with the next generation who didn't even see the damn thing. Most of their generation got to grow up with their mothers at home, there when they came home to give them a hug, or put a band-air on them when they got hurt. Not this generation. They're mothers have to work all week and pay for all the "Free" State we have. So they get to grow up in a day supervision center where a cut knee is comforted with a flat palm in the face and the words "Stop, you are OK". There they stand, crying to themselves, sometimes peeing themselves - which the learn over the next four years in their State certified (and paid for) Center to normalize to. To think it's normal to stand there, alone, crying when hurt. No hugs for them. No kisses. No one that loves them. Nope. They get to develop the attachment issues, the drug problems, the ADHD, the cutting and starving disorders - as they attempt to compete with other Government Schooled kids in State mandated testing centers to be allowed by the State to offer goods and services in the few openings the Rent-Seeking hyper-regulated markets have to offer (you know, to keep us safe from one another). That is, if they somehow make it through without being functionally illiterate like the other 20% of America.

Yippie - let's bail out the Too Big To Fail Crony Corporations so that the Baby Generation can retire early and their grandkids can cut and starve themselves between adderall doses.

Yes, I hope you're all around to fully experience and appreciate the mess in the coming decades. This generation is learning something, and it most certainly is NOT to value their individual freedom. So that, when we're all spied on, have little civil liberties - where, even to arrange and sell flowers, requires permission by the State** you can be happy we bailed out another CRONY corporation run into the ground by Babies management and crooked Unions.

Land of the Free - what a f*cking joke. More like land of Waddle. Home of the Functionally Illiterate. Take a good look at Detroit. That's where we're headed.

** Example (one of 100s of millions) of Fascism in the USSA
Florists are required to obtain a government-issued license before they may create and sell floral arrangements. In order to comply with the law, aspiring florists must take a test judged by their future competition—licensed florists. The law not only makes it difficult for new entrepreneurs to work as retail florists, it also gives existing florists the power to protect themselves from new competition.
That is to say Rent-Seeking - like the rest of Amoorikkka.

Hey, how about being honest every once in a while? Only one state out of 50 licences florists and a small state at that.

It's an example to illustrate the sad, pathetic nature of the USA. How far society has shifted from a self-reliant hard working people, to one that can't wipe it's own arse without asking the State for permission first - and one that is HAPPY to ask!

There are millions and millions and millions, billions, of lines of local, state, and federal regulations (to keep us safe from ourselves). Thousands of little fascistic scams like this one. For example, in Texas, you need a State licence to repair a computer. Everything from preventing Americans from consuming Tonka Beans (a common ingredient in European deserts) to the millions and millions of American ADULTS in jail for smoking a weed to the AMA.
Which fits quite well with the 'please hyper-regulate all aspects of my pathetic existence' Amooorikkkan mentality.

    The USA is a hyper-regulated tax-pen.

    Officially: Amoorikkka
Land of the Central Planning Central Banksters.
Home of their Fiat-paying, Tax Chattel.

As for GM, the highly paid, early retired, UAW workers from the baby's generation say thank you Amooorikkka. Now, for you Millennials, off to work part-time at MooDonald's (I hear they're paying a "Living" wage). Someone has to pay for your grand-pappies early retirement, medical benefits - and that someone is you.

Do enjoy the New Economy, it's here to stay.

The UAW members thank you again Amurika.

GM is Too Big To Fail.
Criminal Banks like GoldmanSux and BJ Morgan are Too Big To Fail.
Just watch, Amurikan's will be bailing out Walmart and McDonald's next, see, they're "Too Big To Fail".

Everything is, until it isn't. Which is many many decades away. Until then, enjoy Life as Hyper-Regulated Tax Chattel inside your Farmer's Tax Pen: Amurika

Six new GM recalls of 717,950 vehicles

I remember when I used to work at GM. I worked a chemical engineer internship for Generous Motors. I was pretty shocked at the pathetic quality of the UAW worker. Many times I'd see a few who were stoned, the sweet stench of pot mixed with maybe-I-bathed-once-years-ago hitting you in the face as you walked through the plant. Them were the glory days for the Government Schooled functional illiterate. Get a Government Diploma Stamped Cog and off to the local Factories you went to continue doing a half-arsed job. And, hey, thanks to the Union, even workers who did that half arse job were guaranteed a 5 - 6 figure job for life.

Isn't it wonderful, thanks to Government bailouts, the tax payer get's to pay for these guys retirement - after their lousy work ethic and total mismanagement finally destroyed General Motors and put it into bankruptcy. A nice $4000 a month pension, retired at 47, top notch medical - a pretty sweet deal.

I wonder how many Walmart and McDonald's tax chattel it takes to generate $5000 a week in income tax? See, the Government need to sell an extra $4000 a week to pay itself (a tidy little 'administration fee'), the interest on the T-bonds and of course the $1000 a week UAW pension itself. Thank the GODS we live in a hyper-regulated State with lots and lots and lots of Government taking care of everything for everyone.

    Progressive Socialism at its finest.

What does "too big to fail" have to do with my post? Nothing, absolutely nothing, how about asking me something that is relevant and makes sense? You don't seem to mind corporations collaborating. Why is it you are so upset with unions using their right of free association and collective bargaining in a free market? Employers can buy or not union labor. No one is forcing an employer to buy union labor.
