The birth dates that are included are hazy. Some sources say one thing. Others say another. But generally it's accepted that a person who's born between 1966-1975 is GenX. I've heard it range from 1970-1985, too.

But it's more about "attitude" and "feeling". Are you near those dates? If so, then you are probably included.

If you were in the Cleveland area, I'd say, hit me up for a pint. . . though not right now as I'm still battling this frakking Flu.

Born in '71, so it looks like we have two members of our club.
Do you ever come to NYC? I see no real reason to ever go to Cleveland. (Yes, I know, Cleveland Rocks!)

My nephews would always get pissed that I refused to ever buy them a video game for Christmas or Birthdays.

I didn't find Gal Civ 2 to be really buggy, did you update it?

Borderlands is pretty awesome, I've been playing it for a few days and I find it very entertaining.

Braid is pretty fun, although short, if you haven't played it then I highly recommend it.

    Others:
    Red Faction Guerrilla
    Mirrors Edge
    Castle Crashers

i was really anticipating Mirror's Edge, then i heard it was short and it turned out to be a first person, i kinda lost intrest..

if you don't mind old "epic" games then you should try Byond Good and Evil, Op flashpoint (or ARMA iguess), STALKER..Freedom Fighters..Half Life 1+2..Psychonauts..theif: deadly shadows.. Broken Sword..

if you have PS 2 or 3 don't miss Def Jam and Metal Gear. they say assasin's creed 2 and uncharted 2 are the sweetest eye candies you'll ever find..

Mirrors edge was actually really good, despite it being somewhat short.
Might be good for a rental instead of a purchase.

meh, I dont think there is too much of a good lineup this year.

there's odst, but thats for xbox only, so 6 out of 10 in my book.

Bad company, never really liked the series because of average graphics, and whenever I played I never got sucked in, never got that adrenaline flow, 5 out of 10

Bioshock 2, not a big fan of horror, but I liked the story line 7 out of 10

Crysis 2, loved the first game, beautiful graphics, and the best vehicle gameplay and physics engine and game engine Ive seen. 9 out of 10

Modern Warfare 2: they killed dedicated servers, killed mods, killed organized gameplay, and killed their hardcore pc gamebase, opened the gate for hackers. 4 out of 10, mainly because of storyline and console.

Assassin's creed 2: gonna be cool, but the replay value on the first wasnt that good and every game in that genre suffers from that problem, 7.5 out of 10

I miss the line up from two years ago,

    Call of Duty Modern Warfare

    Halo 3
(just between those two was enough excitement)

    Crysis

    Bioshock

Really? I don't think I've found a bug in it or any of the expansions.
But then again I've played some seriously buggy games to compare it to so maybe I was just happy it did what it was supposed to and wasn't totally unplayable.

i haven't played games for ages but am quite the veteran:
    Some few year old games
    **Elder scrolls

Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

blivion -Proly one of the best games ever created,a 3d first person(can be 3rd too)in medieval age. With an open world.Quite realistic even if it has magic.

**Metal gear solid:substance -I have played only this metal gear don know bout the newer(they proly are good too). Its a 3rd person stealth game. The script and generaly the game is very close to a holywood movie(in a good way).

**MaxPayne:The fall of max payne -(some might seen the movie)This too very cinematic game.3rd person shooting with dark atmosphere.

There are more games but these came to my mind.
If u play them u should do it in this orders:metalgear, maxpayne, oblivion.

There is a program that is called "game maker" as the name implies you can make ur own game, not anything shiny but still ur own,its pretty cool.
Look it up on google if u want.

For online game RPG the most popular and best is WoW.
Online shooting as u said Left for dead, call of duty etc.
The things is that when u play rpg u must chose one cause u use most of ur time ,very time consuming but good games,in action u can have several of em to satisfy you.

And i must add my fav online game.Dota

Its a map from Warcrat:the frozen throne (not World of Warcraft the MMO which is based on Warcraft)Wacraft is a strategy fantasy game(the best imo) and has many costum maps,DoTa is one of them, may not look appealing but the gameplay is very addictive. You should look at least for that.

There are songs by Basshunter for DoTa (u might'v heard)check in yt.
    Happy gaming....
Although at some point u'll realize that games are a time waste

Get sins of a Solar empire.

It is one freaking hell of a strategy game.

    It won;

IGN's best Strategy game of the year

IGN's most original IP of the year

    IGN's best original design

And IGN's PC game of the year

And this came from a studio called Ironclad on 1 million dollar budget.

It's the story of the little game that could, and it is an insanely fun and addicting game. You really gotta try it.
    PC Game of the Year
    Sins of a Solar Empire
    Developer: Ironclad Games
    Publisher: Stardock

    Rating: T

"This is a controversial choice, to be sure, as many games scored higher than Sins of a Solar Empire. Yet during our discussions it was the one game we kept coming back to; considering it shipped way back in February that was telling. This is the game that we may have easily played the most in 2008. It's that much fun. It's also a game that has had incredible post-release support in the form on free enhancements and additions from developer Ironclad Studios, which proved to be the little studio that could. Thanks to its wildly original and fresh take on RTS and its compelling gameplay that kept us up late at nights, this is our PC game of the year."

This beat left 4 dead, the only other game to get 3 game of the year awards

Sins (and the expansions) are pretty cheap on Impulse.
The expansions are something like $10-12 (Australian) each.

Borderlands is somewhat similar to fallout but it allows drop-in (as in, join at any time) co-op with up to 4 people, which makes it much more fun in my opinion.

The story in Left 4 Dead is in the end of mission scenes and the various messages written on the walls.
