    the major factor here is the will of the american people.
    during WW2 americans wanted germanys and japans head on a platter.
    not just the military but the people wanted it.

    Well, the American people wanted that in both of these present wars, except they expected it in two or three days ...AND... without the lose of a single soldier or Marine. Big difference.

    The same was true in Vietnam ...the people wanted us to win ...in the first few minutes of the war!

    I wonder what Americans would be like if China invaded the US? Would they just give up after the first 1,000 American soldiers were killed? It would seem so.
