    I think they could improve the economical system of MMORPGs a lot. Basically it is entirely artificial. Money is being printed whenever it is needed and goods disappear regularly to prevent huge mountains of stuff, and other goods are replenished to prevent depletion.

    Somehow I think they could make things a lot more interesting. Basically there is a lack of sense. I made 20 steel full body plates the other day. I can't sell them on the free market because there are not enough low level people. You then sell them to the store where they disappear into a black hole. Pointless...

    planet e... something has a real economy, you can buy and sell game items back and forth between real money and the ingame currancy.
    some time ago some dude bourgth a island ingame for 120K dollars
