Hubby came home from town with a couple of movies from the discounted bin, lol.... He knows that I have always enjoyed Pierce Brosnan, and one of the movies we had never seen was 'Die Another Day', in which Brosnan plays 007, James Bond. It was a usual 007 romp, with plenty of action, gimmicks, attractive women and improbable science. The inclusion and collusion of two female agents added to the intrigue of the plot and there were two fight scenes worth mention, both involving blades. One was between the two male protagonists and the other between the two female protagonists. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I use the word protagonist intentionally, for the parts of these four players were all leading roles in this production, IMO. I note that this is an old film, 2002, and I am sure that many will remember it while some of the forum followers weren't yet born. Obviously, I watch very few movies, am easily entertained and will never run out of new movies to watch in my old age. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! i can't think of a single favorite. a few of note: "at play in the fields of the lord" don't let the title fool you. one of the strangest i've seen: "idaho transfer" cerebral for sure. all around good movies: "the abyss" directors cut. "waterworld" extended version. "2001, a space odyssey" good docudramas: "into thin air" 1995 everest disaster. "apollo 13" apollo 13 accident.
Rubin and Ed (1991) with Crispin Glover and Howard Hesseman Quirky comedy with the amazing Crispin Glover! Brazil, by Terry Gilliam One of the best distopian visions ever committed to film. And a love story. Zardoz (1974), by John Boorman I know, many people say it's bad, but something about this movie really connected with me. I was a teenager when I fleetingly saw a brief scene in between commercials at a friend's house. I commandeered the TV and refused to let him change the channel until I discovered what movie it was. Le Dernier Combat (The Last Battle) (1983), by Luc Besson Black and White, no dialogue whatsoever, fantastic.
Another funny one Gokusen series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yySu-BPX2XE&feature=youtube_gdata_player
