... don't throw your hand ... no, no, no, you're not alone ... so hold on, hold on ... Nah, I never thought "Everybody hurts" to be a depressing song. It is one of those "buck up" songs, like Natalie Merchant's "Life is sweet". I usually cry when I hear them, but I also stop crying at the end of the song. Now, there's a productive approach to sadness!

-From "Hail to the thief" I'll add "Wolf at the door."- After giving it a little more listening, you're right. I never realized that it sounded so depressing. I kinda neglected songs from Hail to the thief, I don't think that the album is as good as previous ones.
In the End(linkin park), Everybody hurts(REM), nothing compares to you(the video with sinead o'connor), outside(staind), its been a while(staind), im sure theres more.
anyone herd something for kate's monsters? "im hanging upside from the overpass, waiting to discover something about the world. i couldnt get with the program and i couldnt lission to them, it was like trying to think in reverse and i dont want to sigh into apathy and i dont want to die in captivity but these monsters follow me around, hunt me down, try to wipe me out" ect
Definitely. And of course, any GN'R song is kinda depressing by default, even "Paradise City," since Axel's done nothing but become an increasingly pathetic self-parody. He ranks with Jackson has one of the all-time greatest wastes of talent.
Superman - Five for Fighting... playing now I can't stand to fly / I'm not that naive / men weren't meant to ride / with clouds between their knees...
"Dress Rehearsal Rag" Leonard Cohen "Just take a look at your body now, there's nothing much to save and a bitter voice in the mirror cries, "Hey, Prince, you need a shave." Now if you can manage to get your trembling fingers to behave, why don't you try unwrapping a stainless steel razor blade?"

You know what, Red Red Wine by Tony Tribe. People say ska cant do emotions, cant do depressing, but this one sure does. Shows what fools they are.
