    Past vs. Present

Let's see...I used to be into Our Lady Peace, right when their 4th album came out...I listened to them a lot, and then I just got bored. Nowadays, I still enjoy the occasional OLP classic, but I won't get hyped up about them as much. Now that I'm older, my taste in music has expanded exponentially. I like almost everything..except for maybe really really really heavy metal. I have sort of a theory: If you listen to it enough, you'll begin to like it. It's been true so far, and I just download random stuff and listen to it. And I've learned to take recommendations seriously too, and follow through with them.

I believe that TOOL is the best band that there ever will be. They are incredibly talanted and the songs are so deep and have so much meaning. They are just great!

i think its naive to say that one band is the best band 'ever', you havnt possibly heard all the bands and music ever composed on the planet to make this kind of assesment and even then its personal preference dont you think?

Alright, Tool is the best band that I have ever heard. I have listened to almost every form of music and dating back to classical music. I am sure there are many pieces of music I have not heard, but in my opinion Tool is the best right now. Is that better?

    Limp Bizkit

just for the record....limp bizkit are fuckin corporate poster boys. Fred Durst is a no talent little prick who sold out after 3 dollar bill yall and ran wes borlin, the only member of the band that had a little bit of talent, out of the band. Satan's henchmen, all of them. I don't even believe in god and i think that Fred Durst is the leader of the anti-christ. I'm so sick of these fuckin disposable rock stars.

Sorry, i just read something about L B earlier in this thread and couldn't resist...Anyway...my favorite band is TOOL i love em...
i really like Clapton, Hendrix, Pink Floyd...the music today is too goddamn predictable......well there's my two cents

I go to bed with their music in my head, and I wake up with it in the morning.

I have to check but so far I haven't seen anyone mention The Doors. This is rather disturbing. The Doors are perhaps the best blues-rock to ever come around. The fact that Roadhouse Blues is not appreciated by everyone the same that it is by me, in all honesty, bothers and confuses me at times. To all those in a band out there - playing Roadhouse at a concert is definetly the biggest kick to play. That is, if you play in a danky little crap-holes like I have! I can imagine in a big, professional place it's a little less cool.

Oh yeah, and one other musician I assume few here know of (watch me be proven wrong) is Django Reinhardt. Now THAT'S some chillen' music.

Dude, New Found Glory is respectable in that they write catchy hooks, but by no means one-of-a-kind.I personally think that many other bands have the same unexperimental style
