I happened to see Family Guy once, by accident when I was switching through the channels. I gave it about 2 minutes then turned it off. It wasn't appealing at all to me for I'm used to much better comedy writing than what I heard in just those few minutes. It sounded like they got a bunch of amatures to write that shit.

Did anyone else watch the new episodes last night? I was rolling when Seth MacFarlane was interviewing those FG naysayers. Boy he picked some winners there, didn't he? They all seemed to have no clue about the show, and even said it was degrading to women and minorities. Jeez. Some people.

I figure most of whats on Tv is utter shit that pretends to be something else. Family guy is a stupid pointless show, I would rather watch it then O.C. or any other bullshit drama that just reinforces negative sterotypes in our society. I want to be amused, and learn nothing from Tv, family guy delivers

 

The show can be anywhere from a zero out of ten to a 10 out of 10. Humour that pushes the edges can soar or crap out. (same with South Park) Better than 'canned' and predictable sit coms. We never sit down to watch Family Guy but if we're flipping the channels we'll stop and watch if it's focused on Stewie or Brian.

 

It was so incredibly lame last night!! What was one funny part?

 

The funny parts were Seth McFarlane talking to the camera. At least, they were funny in my opinion...but I appreciate a dry, cutting type of humour.

 

The Simpsons have not been funny since 1995

 

I don't need to watch it on TV. I have the real live version right across the street lol.

 

Family Guy is hilarious. Granted there are some episodes that are not, but the vast majority of the time I'll be laughing my ass off.
The humour is very very fast, incorporates things from pop-culture and politics that aren't always obvious and they have no respect for anything.

 

I don't mind family guy, I have nothing against it. Even though it is a copy of the Simpsons, I really don't watch TV very much.

 

Family Guy is a bit hit and miss but it's a very funny show.

glad to know i'm not the only one who thinks FG is totally lame..one of the worst shows i've ever seen, but was beginning to wonder if i'm the only one who thinks it's super lame because everyone i know likes it..i'm beginning to think they're being sucked in by the parental warning 'mature humour'...

 

Except fox and republicans.
But otherwise, it's an ok show.

 

Grade's 5,6 and 7's usually watch that show and find it funny.

 

I used to watch it after it was recommended by a professor from the east coast. It's one of those liberal shows that conservatives cannot fathom.

I don't watch it now because I usually need more than entertainment to keep watching a show. My brother knows more about the cultural references anyway so I watch with him sometimes. I'm too pedantic.
