Not really a reply to your post, just needed "faith healer" as a tag

It sort of struck me, who exactly has the faith?

If the sick person has the faith, why do they need anyone else

If the faith healer has the faith, how does it get transferred over? Or does it need to be?

Faith healer has faith but patient does not. How does that resolve?

The sicker the patient, is MORE faith required?

Or is faith a one size fits all all?

A doctor tries to heal, doesn't work, the sickness wins

A faith healer tries, doesn't work, the faith healer is off the hook, patient didn't have enough faith

    Sickness doesn't get a lookin

I didn't know Faith was sick. I'll send thoughts and prayers her way.

You HOPE to defile CHASTITY before you get CHARITY?

    If folk instead of saying....

I believe because of my faith.

    SAID....

I believe because of my hope.

That would be a truthful representation one would think.

Not sure about that but faith or hope I contend are equally empty

I won't let people with imaginary friends tell me what words I can use or "what I meant by using" a word.

Faith is their opinion nothing more but they wheel out "its my faith" and all back off as if we cant go there because its special...
Well faith is what you require when you have no evidence and for me the use of "hope" would be more to the point...so a believer starts rattling on and when they sense they are being cornered out it comes " its my faith" well I say bmot the honest thing to say would be "its my hope".

Its my faith that there is a God who loves me" should be set aside for " its my hope that there is a god that loves me"

Which I will suggest to the next person who says to me its my faith...reminder...its your hope mate (as hopeless as it may be☺).
Its raining here so a break from astronomy hope all is good for you...I heard we have a new PM have you heard anything☺ but I went to see Pink last weekend and dont need to know anything more.
What a great show and I am not a fan.

Hospital doctors wear white coats in no small part because a white lab coat says "I am a scientific healer."

When asked to visualize a medical doctor, most people visualize someone in a white coat, often with stethoscope draped around their neck.

    symbolism matters
If you have faith that the person in the white coat can heal you, then you are well on your way to achieving that goal.

The healing does not lie within the faith healer
The healing does not lie within the witch-doctor or shaman with a rattle and smoke driving out the evil spirits.
The healing lies within the patient who believes that the practitioner can aid the patient on his/her journey to health.

The white coat is just a different form of placebo.

Expectations are not limited to medical people though. Would you be comfortable with a pilot wearing a Hawaiian shirt? Or a plumber in top hat and tails?
