    Science starts by observing facts.
September 14, 2004 - a day that marked more than just the start of a new age, the age of global superstorms.

It It also marked another obvious milestone in a world of seven billion and that was seen only by one.

The very same one, the End Times Prophet, that predicted which would be the first american city devastated in the new age.

One year later, the only results lead to the only page that Google found, September 12, 2004 - from 2002

Dude, what are you talking about... the link you provided to google just shows all the pages where you have posted the same crap.

who is the End times Prophet? and what credit does he have.

In addition, im sure there have been hundreds of cat 5 hurricances in the past 1000 years... just because one happens now doesnt mean its the end of the world.

he does have a point tristan.
Hurricanes are getting more and more frequent, and so have many other disasters. Plus there is the constant threat of nuclear warfare, ect,etc,etc..
Besides, some guy on the internet picked a city below sea level that is constantly threatened by hurricanes 2, and very prone to flooding years ago! what isn't to believe?

just wait till the skys start raining brimstone or some shit. Then you'll believe...

I think it's pretty safe to say we've been in the so-called 'End Times' for the past 2,000 years. Now-a-days, it seems we're all worried about the 'End' (End of what?). The Earth or mankind? I think most of mankind will be around for a little while longer until Mr. God or whatever, decides to make his move. If you wake up someday and suddenly see your family has vanished into thin air and your neighbor's wife too, then you have something to worry about.

People remember the hits and forget the misses. I want to see the names of everyone who made incorrect predictions.

    Funny thing:

The first link refers to HURRICANE IVAN! Not to HURRICANE KATRINA! Ivan barely did a thing to New Orleans.

This is the post of the first link of the Google search:

Will Big Easy turn into Big Soup Bowl ? New Orleans faces destruction

September 14, 2004 - not just another historic day, when Mexico beated the US in this race (Jeanne was born a couple days too late) :
country threatened by TWO cat. 5 hurricanes - Ivan, Javier (unprecedented)
... but because it marks the entry in a new era - the global superstorm

Below the ONLY article (October 2002) that google could find, September 14, 2004, about the facts. This as Ivan started heading directly into New Orleans and finally the first press article on the subject (Associated Press) appeared.

---- Why is New Orleans so vulnerable? Try these three main reasons: (October 2002)
My comment on the article : this time isn't a new cycle of hurricane intensity ...
    http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1590/is_3_59/ai_95845370

--- People who stick their head in the mud, pardon, sand (from the AP article, September 14, 2004)
    http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/apus_story.asp?category=1110&slug=Vulnerable New Orleans

The worst storm in recent decades to hit New Orleans was Hurricane Betsy in 1965, which submerged parts of the city in water 7-feet deep and was blamed for 74 deaths in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida. That storm was a Category 3, weaker than Ivan is expected to be.

Even if New Orleans escapes this time, van Heerden said, it will remain vulnerable until the federal and state governments act to restore the
coastalwetlands that should act as a buffer against storms coming in from the Gulf.

Louisiana has lost about a half million acres of coast to erosion since 1930 because the Mississippi River is so corralled by levees that it can dump
sediment only at its mouth, and that allows waves from the Gulf to chop away at the rest of the coastline.

"My fear is, if this storm passes (without a major disaster), everybody forgets about it until next year, when it could be even worse because we'll have even less wetlands," van Heerden said.

I fail to see how any cat 5 hurricane is a GLOBAL SUPERstorm.... Did the people in china feel rain when the hurricane was chopping through louisianna.... or any other country for that matter (haiti or cuba maybe).

global superstorm is a retarded term created to scare the mindless public... get off the soapbox....

P.S. The Day after tomorrow was FICTICIOUS... and unscientific

I agree, but ask the asshats who made it and they'll fanatically insist they are smarter than you. Ick. I saw a think like the cast, crew and writers talking about it. They were comparing it to world events and such and saying how they were right on with forthcoming events. What a bunch of smarmy bastards.

Better start 'sweating' the next supervolcano eruption. Could be anytime now.

    Riiiiiiiiight.

Could be any time now, or 20309302394 years from now. Good reason to sweat.

The better idea is probably to just keep an eye on them until there's evidence that one is going to blow soon.

And I've seen a lot of junk on Yellowstone. There's a lot of speculation, but no evidence that an eruption is impending in fact there is evidence that it currently can't. I don't remember the specifics, but it had something to do with continental drift and plates and stuff.

None of these people who supposedly make these fabulously accurate predictions has EVER won a lottery, or even a fortune in the stock market!

    Fraggle, don't be silly.
Everybody knows that goes against the prophet's oath that you have to swear upon completion of Seer School. You can't renig on that oath either. IF you ever would, they have prophets that would know and they would never let you in in the first place.

That's interesting. Yellowstone has super-erupted approx. every 600,000 years for the past 2.1 million years. Based on Yellowstone super-eruption schedule, that means it's approx. 40,000 years into the red. Are you discounting it's historical super-eruption record and calling it a joke? If you are and it super-erupts again in the not-to-distant future, what are you going to say? Oppppppps?
