It seems no-one has any Ethics anymore.
Morality? Gone out of the window!
Justice? That vanished a long time ago too!

    It's Capitalism

    Ethics lower profits.

    Morality lowers profits.

    Justice costs too damn much.

It's all about what a society chooses to call important.

    thanx,
    Tiassa

And we can all blame ourselves because we 'buy' the propaganda that capatalism is good for everything, and 'socialism' is evil. Slightly less evil than those damn commies, but not much. And now this US attitude is spreading through the world like a malicious cancer and soon social countries will be forced to give up on their social structures because it will be 'unfair' towards other 'proper' countries, where people don't get things like healthcare for everybody.

    end rant.

Mmh, I will out myself: I still have ethics!

Yep, and probably I am one of the few persons who owns books like "Ethics and Economy" and actually read and agrees with the content.

But really, first, things like Ethics, morals and justice lower the income, not only of big companies, also that of individual workers and countries. Furthermore, people seem to be completely uninterested in these kind of things. Apartheid is a big trend, being totally uninterrested is cool to the extreme, and there are no role models that incorporate those much needed values.
In other words, people are just too self-centered to even care about others. And all is fine as long as they do not have to see the misery.

Nope, I did not notice that because I nearly never look at the dates... and neither do I care.

Three and a half years later, I stand by my prior answer. In fact, that "It's all about what a society chooses to call important" is a recurring theme of mine, especially in these months following the apex of the presidential cycle. It is also the reason that Communism itself has failed while even alleged capitalists take lessons from the Reds. (Whatever happened to the conservative slogan "Better dead than Red"? Do we realize that a simplification of simplistic representations caused the shift?)

Theres no such thing as justice. You can't force it on an indifferent world. Look at the tactics used by politicians or corporations to litigate until the legal expenses are too great and the opposition folds

Morality?..pfft Hyprocrisy. Unless they keep it to themselves. Its annoying to see someone preach standards that negate their other standards and then act as if the world is capable of justice.

And Ethics? You're right, very few people have them nowadays. I regret that, but I have to disagree with Tiassa. They can be a tool for corporations to establish a good reputation.

IE> McDonalds doesn't use styrofoam because its bad for the environment (well..actually styrofoam caused a boycott, which decreased profits.)
