I have been browsing for intelligent forums for a while and joined a couple others before I stumbled into here. I found myself fascinated with just reading so many of the threads that it took me a week to join...which convinced me to stay. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I'm a secretary turned philosopher turned chef as of 9 months ago. I've had a busy year, to say the least. I've spent the last 7 years in GA and recently moved across the country to CA. Recently-as in last month. All that to say, I'm glad to be here! I hope to become part of the community...and plan on NOT being an 'infamous' one either. Ugh.
Dear fellow, how charming to make your acquaintance, I'm new here myself, the folk in these parts are a most decent crowd, I'm sure you will enjoy their light hearted banter and occasional enlightened quip. OM

I like to think of myself more as open-minded and not holding to any particular view simply because it is held by others in my general circle...

I'm a Californian, although due to the economy I've been working in Washington DC for several years. Both are great places. What part of California? It's big enough to be seven states or three countries. I even speak all three of L.A.'s official languages: English, Spanish and Mandarin.
