Aaahh I hate high rise buildings. Absolutely no character. I look at the image posted by Oli and my eyes are drawn to the little building just poking into the picture to the right.. I actually find that building more appealing. Appealing modern architecture that appeals to me are the old sandstone buildings. As for Redouté, the man actually inspired me to start painting botanicals. Although I personally do studies of leafy plants. Sadly all of those were lost in November, along with my favourite brushes and water colour paints. I guess one day I will restock and start again. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Thats cool. I've recently stocked up on charcoals and pencils. Hope to start sketching soon. I need something to replace sciforums once I am back home. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! /crosses fingers.

Good. <And the second statement isn't true anyway: it assumes there was a meaning in the first place Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!>
I hope I'm not going to be here after I get home. <--- clarification I need to find better ways to spend my time once I am lab-free.Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Aaaaugh! Oh. *Digests the concept of a S.A.M.less SciForums.* Oh. Er... Stunned silence ensues. Well don't just slope off Saiyyadati, say goodbye in style Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

This place would not be the same without you Sam.Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Yes it is. /Quietly whispers.. You need to come back. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I am jealous of the talent that painted this: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I love that painting. One of my all time favourites.
The plane! The plane! It's a plane.. Ermmm I guess I could say the propellers look.. like.. propellers and spinning like they are meant to.. /Slinks away embarrassed..
Pfft, The de Havilland Hornet, widely regarded the most elegant twin-engined propeller driven fighter in history. I could spend hours looking at it... Drool.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I simply behold a plane. You obviously see something more. "Fishing Boats on the Beach at Saint-Marie" is still nicer to me personally though. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I could get lost in that painting. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Just as you could get lost in the de Havilland Hornet.
One reason I'm a crap photographer at airshows: my ex took photos of "the plane" for me because I took photos of the plane, its design history, the design decisions, its operational history... And ended up with a little black dot lost somewhere in the distance...
Better than taking a photo of a plane head on as it looms over you I guess. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! That photo is very well taken, I must admit.
