Lady Gets Arrested After Taking Selfie In A Stolen Dress

A pregnant lady in southern Illinois just got herself arrested after posting an exceedingly ill-advised selfie to Facebook showing off her baby bump in the new leopard-print dress she had allegedly just stolen from a local store.

According to The Huffington Post, 27-year-old Danielle Saxton of West Frankfort, Ill., allegedly walked out of a shop called Mortie’s Boutique having stolen a dress, some jewelry, and some other clothes. The dress was particularly distinctive, being a Fruit Loop-colored, leopard-print maternity dress. It’s the kind of dress that sears itself into one’s brain after a single sighting, so it was a really terrible idea for Saxton to post a photo of herself wearing the dress on Facebook, especially considering that she lives in a town of about 10,000 people, any one of whom would easily remember seeing a pregnant lady in a neon leopard dress.

Shop owner Kert Williams said he went on Facebook after he noticed the theft and asked for any assistance locating the alleged perpetrator.

“What she stole was a very distinct leopard dress,” he wrote.

Within two hours, Williams posted that the dress had been found in Saxton’s selfies.

Saxton notified the police, who promptly drove over and arrested Williams, who still had the dress with her when they arrived.

I would say Saxton’s story is a cautionary tale about social media and thievery, but “don’t steal stuff and post photos of it on Facebook” is probably not the kind of lesson most people need to hear. But really, don’t do that. It’s a terribly stupid idea.

Police: London burglar likely to have bee stings
    | Jan. 31, 2014

LONDON, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- London police are asking doctors who have recently treated bee stings to "give us a buzz" after a burglar broke into a shed filled with the insects.
Police said a burglar broke into a home's shed late Tuesday or early Wednesday and would likely have ended up with multiple stings as the shed was being used as an impromptu beehive at the time of the break-in, the London Evening Standard reported Friday.
Detective Sgt. Chris Brown said police are asking any doctors or pharmacists who have recently treated bee stings to come forward.
"Bee stings at this time of the year are unusual and if you have treated a patient with these symptoms please give us a buzz," Brown said.

The Internet is full of criminals and other abusive people.

That's why I use the Internet for information purposes only and that's because you can never know who you communicating with on the Internet.

You can't see the people you are commuting with on the Internet and they could also be bad people.

Commuting with someone on the Internet would be quite a feat.

It is clear many crooks need to be sent back to jail, where they can improve their "don't get caught" skills.

Still you didn't refute my point that most people on the Internet are complete jerks and this I can say by experience.

Well, 'bad' and 'complete jerks' are two different things, but indeed there is plenty of room on the internet for both.

Trust me I know completely what I'm talking about.

In Gamespot one poster called me ugly after I said that black-skinned women have better personalities than fair-complexioned ones.

And this is not the first time that someone on an Internet forum calls me ugly or somehow abuses me or offends me.

Psychological abuse is rampant on the Internet and the government does nothing to stop it.

Ironically, focusing contempt on the 'dumb' part does nothing to improve society when it comes to crime.

In general, we have a society that tends to overly praise cleverness at any cost.

This sends a unconscious message to an impressionable general public that its okay as long as you are smart enough to get away with crime or that you are actually innocent (even if knowingly the perpetrator) unless proven guilty. A lot of people believe this as well.

More like be thankful there are some dumb criminals who get caught but they are just a distraction from the more dangerous ones who do far more damage because they know how not to get caught and way more manipulative. Being better versed at crime and how to get away with it is even more contemptible.

    This is rather oddly damning.

Do you take any responsibility for your own example of bigotry? People of this skin-colour are better than people with that skin-colour?

It seems to me, your opponent could have had some much nastier (and more pertinent) names to call you.

Perhaps, by ugly, he was referring not to your physicality (which he can't see) but to your personality (which you presented)?

    Racism is pretty darned ugly.

If you are in the UK, help is at hand. If you wish I can report your racist comments to the authorities and they can initiate the appropriate actions to make you stop it. Shall I proceed?

    You don't understand.

It is was a thread someone made a long time ago in Gamespot.

The topic creator asked if ethnicity is an important factor to consider when it comes to dating someone of the opposite sex.

Most of the posters said that black women aren't as physically attractive as white women because of their dark skin color. In other words most of the posters there said that they don't find dark skin sexually appealing on a woman.

Then I become a little offended and said that black women have better personalities than white women because white women being more physically attractive don't have as good personalities as black women which are considered by modern western society to be less physically attractive due to their dark skin color and their other facial features which are different from white women.

Also on another forum a bunch of African-Americans attacked me and called me racist for saying that Ethiopians are not 100% black Africans because they have Caucasian admixture in them.

Ethiopians are mixed race just like the majority of African Americans. You can me racist for saying that but you know it's true.

Regardless of your good-intentions, defining a group's traits (such as personality) based on the colour of their skin, is racist.

"I like black people. Some of my best friends are black people." is a cliche'd form of racism.

But what if it's true though?

Biologically speaking, everything we do and think is influenced by chemicals in our brain (check out neurochemistry and neuroscience) so I must say that racism as a theory that explains human nature does have a bit of truth in it.
