Cartoon characters certainly exist. They just don't exist as real people in real life.
They exist as cartoon characters.

Like unicorns, ghosts and God all exist. But they exist as supernatural fantasies - not "as-advertized".

I have often thought, for a long time that
  • violence in cartoons (no I am not going to advocate against it) causes some kids to act violent
  • the kid see's a violent act but few seconds later all is normal
  • if kid BELIEVES cartoon is real only a neuron away from thinking
  • real life is same as cartoon
Same goes for Prince and Ragged Female
  • unrealistic expectations because of
  • cartoon depictions
How much of above is correct? No idea. Probably studies around which attempt to fathom. To lazy to look

Just my 2 cent musing

you have an obsession ?

there is a HUGE global fan base for real life murder TV programs
i dont like it
it turns me off like blood in vomit mixed in poos served on a breakfast at a new york diner
served in a dirty nappy

yuck factor is high

but moving to some vague area your talking about
psychological delusions ?

specifically homicidal psychological delusions

you appear to be fishing for something

your subject is too fringe for a lot of things

which generation of people have normalised as growing up with TV cartoons , soo much that thier deep emotional self esteem fears phobias & personal values might have cartoons as memory place holders , that might come up as delusions when they are having a psychotic episode or mental break down ?

young birth /early babyboomers most likely & early young (early birth)start generation X

probably millions of children left to sit in front of the TV for months on end
feeding right into their subconscious
additionally
emotional coping where they as small children would have psychologically leaned on cartoons for emotional trauma coping mechanisms

were you wanting to talk real science or conspiracy bull shit ?

comment to moderators
im sensing something like an attempt to trigger

hopefully its just me & not the thread authors intention
