No their is a differance. the christian and muslim religious killings happened because they were of a different faith. if the faiths were the same in the Israel example with all the same other factors in play it still would have happened.
I'm only going on reaction. When you say "European slave trade", people go red in the face. When you say "Islamic slave trade", they turn away and talk about something else. So clearly it must not be so important for some reason.

There's a lot of things one could say about the reaction: ignorance, absence of introspection, abhorrence of the wider view. Some reactionaries even throw a nut about it. People do enjoy their fixed preconceptions.
