we are one of the advanced sociatiesPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! we use the metric systemPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! actually 800mls is probably pritty close to what an adverage sized person needs during normal cool weather. Its oviously going to depend on weather, salt content of the water, any medications your on and excercise but 1L is what they have been quoting for normal weather conditions from memory. As i said let your body tell you what you need, unless your 80 or have a neuro imparement it SHOULD be a fairly good indicator, if your pissing brown however or your blood pressure is so low you faint all the time or your kidneys are failing then its ovious your body is wrongPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! There IS a risk from over hydrating as well, if you force TO much water in then the blood cells effectivly "drown" (well sort of, its a convenient way to put it for those who dont like detailed medical explinations). What hapens is insted of lots and lots of red blood cells with a little plazma surounding them you suddenly have a few blood cells in an ocean and the gas exchange becomes ALOT less because its harder to diffuse across all that liquid. Further more if you do it without matching salt intakes then the molarity of the plazma can be effected. If THAT happens your blood cells (and all the OTHER cells in the body because they are all conected) swell, (if you want to know why look up "osmotic pressure gradients", "isotonic", "hypertonic", "hypotonic" ect) and if this continues to long the cells will actually explode. Not good
That's not what I heard. Over here they say 1.5 liters a day is the minimum and they advise 3 liters. And The Netherlands is not a warm country. Plus there is the fact that she complained of dryness of mouth, is sick (cold), is possibly on meds (bipolar) and often only drinks water while taking a sleep/pain pill at night. Also, New Mexico is supposed to be a pretty hot state, is it not? Ok, it's winter now.. Never heard of this. You just piss out the excess water.. right? yea, TO A POINT. Heamodilution DOES happen, look it up if you dont belive me. If the kidneys start to pack up because your making them work to hard or you flush all the salt out of your blood your in ALOT of troublePlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! a side point thats the reason distiled water has a warning lable on the side "NOT for human consumption" REALLY bad for youPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Do you want to be around for your kids graduation? Because you are seriously screwing with your body by not hydrating it. Besides stroke and sudden heart attack your body can simply shut down due to lack of water. No excuses, no shortcuts, just drink, even if you are not thirsty. So, fill three one liter bottles with water. Do anything you like to it. Make ice tea, lemonade or Tang brew cofee, anything, but make sure you drink enough of those three bottles that when you pee in the morning your urine colour is light enough that you know you are not shutting down your system. Here is the chart to check against: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! 1 and 2 is okay, 3, 4, and 5 is your alarm going off and 6, 7 and 8 is the increasingly possibility that you are bleeding into your urine.
lol Alright.. distilled water huh Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! If your diet is healthy there is not a great chance of drinking too much water. Maybe if you are only drinking water and not eating anything..
Yep - you're definately dehydrated. Not without an IV. You're dangerous dehydrated, which can cause rapid deterioration of healthy, and damage to internal organs. Try drinking icewater. Perhpa a half-strength lemonade. You need eight (8) glasses of water a day, not one. No wonder you wind up in the ER! Come on - be nicer to yourself! Even if you hate it, chug the water. If you keep dehydrating yourself, you'll hate the damage you're doing to your body a lot more when it gets to the point where it's irreversible.
I try to stay away from the ER, I go ot urgent care since a small thing doesnt become a 12 hour ordeal. haha
You can't just drink a bunch of water til your piss is clear and call it good. It's just running through your body. First of all you need to take a vitamin/mineral supplement. Without the proper minerals you body won't be able to properly, transport and use the water. So, vitamin/mineral supplement each day and 3-6 cups of water and not all at once, which is not that much spread out over the day. Should have you doing much better within a week. If you exercise and sweat alot, then you need more. Also, remember in winter the air can be dry.
I do when we eat breakfast and dinner, sometimes lunch. But She likes her oj or koolade during the day, and water at night.. i've been drinkin 1 huge cup of water atnight before bed, and then I was my waters by my bed now
I am not making this up, but I seriously drink 4L of water everyday. Of course I run nowdays for 2-4 hours for 40km, but 4L of water everyday, so when I see your "one cup" its beyond astronomical comprehension for me.
There must be a reason why you don't drink so often. Are you sure it's because you just forgot? What about laziness? Has it occured to you that you wanted to drink but you feel too lazy to get some water...? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I have a colleague who always skip lunch because he said he is too lazy to go to cafetaria. He also used to drink very little because he was too lazy to get some drink and wash his cup. Actually there is a washing machine, but he is too lazy to put his cup in the washing machine, too. He then got dehydrated and got CT-scan in ER. Now he drinks in paper cups, after he drinks he throws the cup to rubbish bin  At least he drinks often now. I know the details coz we share office room, lol.
Here is a trick. Eat chili from time to time, the hot one, i.e. the small green ones, like this: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! But, DON'T SWALLOW, otherwise it'll hurt your stomach (if you don't get used to eat them). Let say, right AFTER you finish your breakfast/lunch/dinner, eat a little bit of the chili, chew a while, then spit it out (sorry for my terrible English, but I am sure you know what I mean, or? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!). You will feel hot and will drink a lot of water. Then, keep 2-3 chili in your pocket always. Or somewhere near you where you spend time a lot. What about near your computer? Set chili (or water) image as wallpaper or screensaver, too, so that you'll remember to eat chili (or drink water) everytime you use your computer. Eat a little bit of the chili every 2-3 hours. Again, don't swallow, just chew and spit it out. I am sure now you'll drink a lot of water! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Huh..? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! You like spicy foods, too, draqon? I always have chili in my freeze (fridge?), I eat them moderately. Chili is like salt to me, lol.
go to a natural food store and get a bottle of essential oils , this will help tremendously I know , I live in Canada , and during the winter months I would be very dry , especialy using electric heat , I was ichy all the time taking essential oils cleared that up quickly take as much as you can at first , once you catch up less is needed daily and the best part is that you need these oils anyway
no not lazy, I am just about always in teh kitchen or near a sink.. I just forget untill my throat gets dry
