He may have been opposed to the war, but there is no excuse for what he did. He could have refused to go. He could have resigned from his commission. Instead he chose to gun down innocent people. Many of the people who were there had never been to Iraq or Afghanistan. They were unarmed. What he did is exactly what the soldiers who murder unarmed people in combat did. He is a murderer. To attempt to justify cold blooded murder is beyond comprehension. I too am against the war. There are millions and millions of people against the war. There are many ways to protest against the war. Cold blooded murder is not one of them.
