First: Only resort to secondary treatment options after using options provided by western doctors (pural; get second opinions)' Second: Explore other healthy living options. - #1 is positive thinking and visualization for 5-6 hours a day (imagine fighter jets shooting away cancer cells is how one kid cured his cancer). - Make your body alkaline by ingesting correct amounts of baking soda and eating correctly. - Ayurvedic medicine, acupuncture, "radio active appliance (edgar cayce)", Homeopathy, or any on long list of alternative medicines. Short term fasting is very healthy and many people find it practically a cure-all. I do fasts regularly because of the amount of positive literature on health and spiritual benefits. I have also heard of people who drink their own urine for health benefits, but have never been sick enough to resort or want to try that (if ever). Western medicine first, and then everything else. I have read much about keeping the body alkaline and cancer though, and would invest in baking soda. -
Where did this idea of drinking one's own piss as a curative come from? It sounds like something a rotten mean-spirited person would come up with. I have sympathy for the person who is dying from cancer who must feel very desperate. At least if you're gonna make up crazy shit to cure cancer, at least come up with something that isn't a mockery to the dying. I've heard of a carrot juice diet to cure cancer. I have no idea if it works. But at least I know that the person who came up with the idea is a good and decent human being.
It's amazing how far people will go to earn a dime, eh? And not all dimes are made of money. You might want to think about that...
It's not always about money. Sometimes it's about wanting to help people when nobody else can Sometimes it's about wanting to be the hero. Sometimes it's about wanting love and affection from other people. I was raised around "gurus" when I was kid. I remember the beautiful women who would come to them seeking wisdom (and other people who were seeking wisdom). Sometimes it's about people seeking love, or a feeling that all is well with the world, or security, or a sense of community. Intellectuals are so critical of and hostile towards "gurus"/wise teachers of any kind. Yet intellectuals are cold fish; they are the embodiment of cold clammy personalities. Intellectuals think they can solve the world's problems. Thank God for doctors, chemists and engineers; these people earn their keep. I'm not so sure that physicists have done much of anything to solve the world's problems. Let's see now, nuclear weapons, cyclotrons, Higgs particles, pretty light emitting diodes, GPS (which is good for aiming nuclear weapons).
Fascinating spin there, fellow, but kinda off - topic. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Look, cancer is not just one disease with one cause and one cure, it is many different diseases with differing causes and differing intercessions. Like Pete said, if they can find it and cut it all out before it spreads you have a good chance of beating it. Once it has spread it becomes much harder to deal with. Lung cancer can be caused by inhaling cigarette smoke, though figuring out which of the many carcinogens in that smoke is to blame for a particular cancer could be problematic. If the cancer is found early, removed and the person quits smoking they can go on to live a full life after. Too much sunshine can cause skin cancer. If it is found early enough and removed, the patient may then go on to live a full complete life. I received x - ray therapy for repeated bouts of tonsillitis when I was 5 years old. My tonsils died and sloughed off at that time. When I got older though, they grew back and got large again. My ENT doctor told me that my statistical chances of developing cancer in my adenoids (glands in the throat directly behind the tonsils) was nearly 100% due to their being cooked by the x - rays. Also that the size of my regrown tonsils was such that it would make seeing that cancer very difficult until it got very large. Since the adenoids are glands, when they go cancerous they often spit out metastatic cells into the blood stream very early on and thus the cancer will spread rapidly making it less likely that I would survive that. He told me that the chances of completely dodging that particular bullet were excellent if I had them removed. Since I had developed a sleep apnea from my tonsils and adenoids jamming up the back of my throat, I had him remove them not just to get rid of the apnea but to remove any chance of developing cancer in them from that heavy dose of radiation. Diet and exercise had nothing to do with the cause and they had nothing to do with the cure/risk removal. We will recall that it only takes one contrary instance to completely destroy a hypothesis, Yes, a healthy diet, good exercise habits and avoiding known carcinogens can help one to avoid cancer, but that is not a guarantee that you will do so. I know folks who swear that mega doses of cannabis extract cure cancer. They can cite individual cases where terminal patients went into complete remission after a few months of ingesting major quantities of cannabis extract. Unfortunately there are other folks who just went on to die very stoned.....Same thing with vitamin C and many other proposed dietary cures. We will recall that Steve Jobs tried diet to address his pancreatic cancer which could have been very well addressed with conventional treatments. We will also recall that was ineffective and cost him his life.
@ Stonephi One cause and one cure seems like a very set opinion, but you never did outline the one cause. You mentioned Carcinogens. Carcinogens are parts of our diet that are known to be associated with an increase in cancer and diet can cause cancer. You also say x-rays can cause cancer, yet I know people who have rarely seen an x-ray who have developed cancer. These facts alone put a dent in the entire "one cause" theory. NOTE: I said #1 / Above all else / Most important! Get diagnosis and treatment from western medicine and get second opinions from your various doctors. However if Cannabis extract is available to you in mass quantities. Why not? Positive thinking has been proven repeatedly to aid health. The Placebo Effect is well documented and a valid form of treatment. You do not have to be a Pseudoscience Guru to understand the sway your brain has over the body. If you believe Cannabis Extract will cure you then perhaps it can. There are thousands of documented cases of mind over matter healing. Again; I would always say follow western medicine advice first/foremost, but there are secondary options that have cured cancer before. It would be very arrogant to write off eastern medicine just because we do not fully understand it, but acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and western medicine was in the dark ages merely a few hundred years ago. They may have some insights we do not yet understand. Steve Jobs was an excellent example of why to follow western medicine advice first and always. Cancer has been documented to vanish without western medicine though. Visualization and Positive thinking and Intent would be my view compared with Placebo effect view of western doctors. I see no harm in participating in light fasting / alkaline diet / visualization and other secondary cures as long as you first and foremost listen to your doctor. Steve Jobs would likely be alive if he opted for surgery when it was first advised and not 9 months later. @ Neverfly and others wondering about drinking urine. I would likely never do it, however it has historical roots and is mentioned in various bibles including the christian bible. It was also allegedly taught by ancient Yoga Yogi's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine_therapy
Cancer and Genetic Science: [Sponsored Post in Popular Science] Great article IMO. The field of genomics may revolutionize how we understand and treat cancer. One research scientist explains why. http://www.popsci.com/sponsored-art...mentGUID=4BD48D36-C5E3-475E-8992-A4B940A1EC4D
Please reread what I said, you have just agreed with me in fact. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I would foremost and above all live in a major city and have a regular doctor that has connections in a city hospital with surgical abilities to treat cancer. I would follow all the advice from my western doctor to the T. The misadventures of Steve Jobs who may be alive today if he followed that advice is good reasoning. HOWEVER: That said... I would also use these woo cures a) Maintain an alkaline system, and remove acid. I would buy ph level pee strips to monitor and would regulate my diet. I might use baking soda, etc to keep alcaline. b) I would use a "Orgone Accumulator" that can be built in your home for about $100 and plans are all over the internet. They allegedly gather Qi / Chi / Prana / Life Energy / The Force / orgone similar to a lobster trap and could be healthy to sit in, and have had many reputed cures of cancer and prolonged life expectancy. I think it is worth building based on many videos and books I have seen on this subject. There are hundreds of websites about this energy that was first allegedly discovered by an assistant doctor to Sigmund Freud. I would watch all the youtube documentary's on Reich before writing this off, as it does look interesting in the face of alternately dying of cancer. Instructions are all over the internet to build one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHyeS94J7EA I have no firsthand knowledge of this device, but have seen many people who swear it is awesome. c) visualization, happiness, and positive thinking. One boy cured his cancer by visualizing fighter jets attacking it, the possibilities here are endless. d) I am unsure about Homeopathy, Ayurvedic, acupunture, but if cures are known for thousands of years then perhaps they have some benefits. These cures may involve payments to practitioners so extra caution should be used. For every legit practitioner there may be a more than a few hustlers. It cannot hurt to try except in your wallet. e) Fasting. Fasting is a cure-all according to many, but I'd research beforehand. I do short fasts frequently and longer fasts yearly or more depending on schedules. I have had nothing that needed curing to my knowledge. All the woo treatments may have placebo effect working for it, but id be doing it all.
