On a similar vein, ever read the two "Meaning of Liff" books by Douglas Adams? Instead of coming up with new words for things we didn't yet have words for, he took existing place names and made up what they mean as words. Anyhoo - my word would be COMFORTABUBBLE: as in "I'm feeling comfortabubble today!" - when you're happy in your own little world, nothing stressing you, not having to work too hard for the sufficient rewards you're getting, and with no incentive to do anything else.
I wish I could like this 100 times lol Friends of mine think I live in a bubble, so this is perfect. I like my bubble. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
There must be some room for modern mix ups courtesy of social media and the internet. Surely para-ganda and propa-noia are just as useful words these days as para-noia and propa-ganda were in the past. Para-ganda is fake news and propa-noia is a mental disease caused by the spread of para-ganda.
I'm just chilling in my comfortabubble today or pulling a Wegs. Maybe pulling a Wegs would be asking "why" is my comfortabubble so comfortable?
Nooooo. Don’t like that. It gained traction in the UK a while back, along with words like “Amazeballs”, and using “Totes” when people couldn’t be bothered to say the full word “totally” (how lazy can people truly get!?). As soon as I hear someone say: “oh, that’s totes amazeballs” I pigeon-holed them as someone to avidly avoid. And “awesomesauce” is in that ballpark.
I loathe amazeballs. Ugh. I have a friend who purposely says it around me because he knows it irks me Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Lol It’s comfortable because only my opinions matter there. When I venture out of my bubble, so many narratives are thrown at me...retreating back to my comfortabubble is my refuge from the storm. *cue dramatic music
