That's a good question. But i's not an answer. What's your opinion of the correllation of general IQ with a better potential for upward mobility and prosperity, mentally correcting for huge differences in opportunity as provided by ones culture?

Probably overall, smarter Asian people are better than dumber Asian people. Comparing whites to Asians is more complicated, however. Whites have the most cultural, technological and intellectual achievements, despite having lower IQs. That's probably because Asian societies are very collectivist and so thinking outside the box is very restricted. But still, intelligence is an indicator of good genes.

 

That's your opinion? Correlation is not causation? Ever? Correlation does not imply causation, but correlation many times indicates causation.

Don't you have an opinion on the question regarding the possible correlation of IQ with prosperity as causitive?

So you think it's unreasonable to postulate that innate intelligence will cause a person to move up in society. I can't deal with this.

 

Well then Asians have the best genes and since racism is making the whites stupider, the Asians will soon take over the Western society, especially since poor whites fare much worse than poor non-whites.

That is exactly what I think.

That just like body weight reflects variations caused by environmental pressures on heritable characteristics, so does IQ.

Heritable characteristics may be genetic or environmental, but the fact that IQ can change drastically with environmental changes, indicates that the balance is tilted towards environmental factors.

 

Alright... but still. Smarter people are healthier, have smarter spouses, smarter children, larger brains, better jobs, more money, they're better looking, they're not as obese. More often than not, smarter people are better.
