Conservation of belief in nonsense

    Not sure who proposed that belief in nonsense is a conserved quantity like angular momentum, mass/energy, & other quantities.

    It might have been Asimov: He had a sense of humor as well as scientific knowledge.

    It would be conserved in a closed system, to be analogous - in this case, a closed informational system.

    So its distribution would be manipulable, within the system. The beneficiaries of belief in nonsense could concentrate it into useful tools, and by closing them off from the larger environment could count on their usefulness perpetuating itself at little additional cost.

    Very informative. "The beneficiaries of belief in nonsense ....." I kinda want to hear more on useful tools but I forgot it's a closed 'lnformational system'.
