    I am... astounded. One, that the investigator thought himself above the law so blatantly, and two that they were actually found in the wrong.

    Unfortunately, her federal case was dismissed... but is in appeals:

    Well, y'know. They are cops. These are the United States of America. That is how it goes.

    We have, over time, put a lot of effort into making sure this is how it goes.

    The alternative is to charge the police with kidnapping under color of law, and conspiracy, thus requiring racketeering and, potentially, anti-gang law enforcement. So, yeah, the review board was able to throw the people a table scrap.

    These cops should be in prison.
