my favorite christian rock radio station (KPCL) playing NOTHING but christmas music all month long!..i wanna hear music..not jingle bells..
I think you are probably a deist, which is practically atheism, or a closet theist that doesn't want to be pinned down.
Do we have to pit our self into groups ? I think to be fluid is safer because we don't know everything
This is about what you believe or don't believe. I already know that we don't know everything, that's why I don't believe in God.
wynn, I just had to post this here, all credit to Cifo for finding and posting it on another thread. All I want for Christmas is Jews? :bugeye: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8LmMtScH3g&feature=related
As are some of my friends, who rather thought it quite an entertaining little knockoff. Still, if any are offended enough to report the post, I will abide by the moderator's call.
I can only think that you didn't fully grasp what this video was about. I don't want to make a big deal about it, but if you will allow me to make a very small deal about it, Here is what I think. It's not anti-Semitism of the worst kind, but it is anti-Semitic. And unpleasantly so. Jewish people are stereotypically self-deprecating, worrying, pessimistic, mother-pecked, eat chicken soup, are hard working, and are fond of a good bargain. They quite like most of this, and have an abundant source material for comedy. The notion that they are dominating TV due to some Jewish plot, is not something your Jewish friends should find funny, unless they too didn't get the point. I love Jewish comedy. To me, it is one of the best things ever to have come out of America. Anyone who has read any of my posts on the Palestine question, will know that I am not politically well-disposed towards Israel's leaders at this time, so I am not arguing from any Pro-Israeli viewpoint.
I was posting the knockoff in response to the opening post. I grabbed it from another thread at this forum. Yes, it has some elements that are not in the best of taste and are controversial. Then again, celebrating a Pagan holiday that has been confiscated by Christianity and commandeered by capitalism isn't in the best form either, IMO, but I go along for the cooking, regardless of it's religious bent. I reiterate, if you (or anyone else) are truly offended, report the post and pull it from ALL locations on the forum.
In a way, this is very good. It's making us Grumpy. Very in-line with the thread topic. Alternatively: Happy Christmas Shez! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
