Does the Child Tax Credit proposed by Biden make any sense? It applies to couples making up to $150,000/year. That's $300/month per child.

A family can make $150k/yr and for a family of 3 they would get $10,800 a year and that would come from someone else's income? Is this a social program that is needed? Tax someone else so that you can get $300/month/per kid even though your family makes $150k/yr?

This is not a platform that is going to keep Biden in office for another term nor is it going to keep Democrats in the majority in the House or the Senate. Nor is increasing capital gains taxes.

The whole Biden agenda is just poorly thought out IMO. It looks like the agenda is just to see how much money can be spent rather than any thoughtful approach to any problem. Who lumps in roads, bridges, climate and additional social programs into one bill just after spending trillions for Covid stimulus and with the debt at more than the yearly GDP?

Any administration trying to pass legislation after a Trump administration should be having a slam dunk if they had any thoughtful legislation in the first place.

The Biden administration looks more like a kid turned loose in the candy store with AOC and Sanders complaining that any amount of candy is not enough.

they get taxed to. you really need to get over your hang ups.

you are laughably wrong on this take.
says you who struggles to deal with reality

given how shitty your opinions are perhaps you should learn to keep them to yourself.
this says more about your biases and inability to deal with politics and economics with anything close to resembling a realistic world view.
people who understand economics, in other words not you. these programs are long over do. we shouldn't do them just because your royal ignorance doesn't like the price tag. if you actually cared about the debt and deficit as something other than an excuse to abuse the poor you wouldn't have supported the republican parties drunken spending sprees of the last 30 years

its thoughtful people like you refuse to support anything that doesn't benefit the rich

on if you have a world view as delusional as yours. they merely wish to finally catch up with the rest of world.

we could half the defense budget still be spending more than anyone else and the bill would be paid for. again your hatred of the poor doesn't excuse a response to fix the problems caused by the dumb policies you like.

Any modern politician with a slim majority. The GOP is going to do everything it can, legal or illegal, to make Biden look bad. He might get one big bill passed. So it's wise to put everything you need in it.

That's not how public discussion forums work.

    I didn't.

I agree with cutting the defense budget in half. That wouldn't pay for this bill though. We aren't even paying for the existing budgets so cutting them doesn't suddenly make new money available.
