You ever see the movie Little Miss Sunshine. It was pretty funny.
It totally made fun of the beauty pageants. Here is a picture from it.

"Little Miss Sunshine" movie def. shows that children are sexualized.

 

I have no problem with baby/child beauty contests. But if you slapped a wig on a bald baby or gave a child who just lost a tooth false teeth.....You change the very nature of what it is to be a baby and child.

I haven't got this time on Earth to indulge myself in anything like that. I got only one purpose, it is to become astronaut, and every day I come close to this goal coming true. Everything I do in between is minor.

 

It is actually really funny. The pageant is only at the end of the movie.
The don't focus on that too much. But the girl in the middle is the only normal one who entered. She does something for the talent show that makes everybodies mouth drop lol

The average looking girl in the middle (Olive) is standing between sexualized little girls. Everyone is ok with that. Then she sings a sex song Super Freak and everyone is scandalized. I think the hypocricy was lost on a lot of people, audience included.

 

Yes I do. If I remember correctly they actually used "real" child beauty contestants and their moms for the end part of the film.

 

Yeah it never fails to surprise me how much the prudes think like the freaks.

I think anyone who is looking at a four year old and thinking breasts!!! needs to take a second look at whats wrong with their own thinking.

Yeah, but I see all this obsession with the sexuality of kids and I wonder how anyone ever manages to raise any kids normally these days. Seems like I grew up on a different planet altogether. Just threw off all my clothes if I was feeling hot. :shrug:
