It has long been a personal belief of mine that Cheerios taste similar to cardboard with honey, I just wanted to know if anyone else here has had a similar notion.
Hehe, I know it's true. I always wondered why some people have such bad taste or no taste at all. Also, Cheerios do not taste anything near cheery, more like bland or depressing.:crazy:
Yeah, and that doesn't have anything to do with the point cheerios tastes bland like cardboard and not at all cheery.
It is horrible and these gimmicks of food are a product of industrialization and profit and appealing to looks or taste but not actual quality of content, fillers. But realistically, people eat food in the west which your body thinks is actually as bad or worse. White flour is one of the most hideous things you can ingest and it's eaten all the time from cake to donuts. Also soda is very bad for you, especially coke which is very damaging actually in the long run.
Well to be completely honest, I love crispy fried eggs with runny yolks with a hot fresh chapati and some sweet natural honey dribbled all over it. But we're discussing cereals here.:shrug:
they taste sweet to me, maybe you guys eat too much sugary food and cant taste the subtle sweetness of cheerios. peace,
maybe you guys get some cheap immitation cheerios then, some kind of romanian knock offs. they have a slight sweet taste to me. peace.
shredded wheat with milk and brown sugar, nuked. yuummm And if you think cheerios suck, try puffed wheat or puffed rice. Might as well eat those packing peanuts.
you mean like rice krispies or sugar puffs? they are ok if you eat them as soon as you make it. dont let them get soggy in the milk. you like hot milk? the smell of boiled milk makes me sick i cant stand it. peace.

rice krispies have added sweetness? i wasnt aware of that. i thought they were healthy. oops i have told countless kids to eat them in the past. my mistake. peace.
Puffed rice is the stuff they use in these god awful rice cakes. This is rice krispies (an I'm not yelling, just cut/pasting) RICE, SUGAR, SALT, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, MALT FLAVORING, VITAMINS AND IRON: IRON, ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C), NIACINAMIDE, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE (VITAMIN B6), RIBOFLAVIN (VITAMIN B2), THIAMIN HYDROCHLORIDE (VITAMIN B1), VITAMIN A PALMITATE, FOLIC ACID, VITAMIN B12 AND VITAMIN D. TO MAINTAIN QUALITY, BHT HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE PACKAGING.
I just have a protein shake w/ soymilk, a bananna, and a hard boiled egg or two for breakfast. That's about it. But, no, Cheerios don't taste like cardboard... they don't taste particularly good (except for the yummy honey nut variety), but not like cardboard. ~String
Cheerios are just white flour and white sugar...no wonder your're depressed. Get yourself some frickin Muffets...or rolled oats with hot milk.
