An interesting angle for original thought is connected to lying, spin and deception. This is where you make connections, that do not follow from any form of logic and data already within established reality. One may use pieces of hard reality, but these pieces are arranged in new ways that are not real and therefore depart from all tradition; unique.

When we were promised you could keep your doctor and premiums would go down, normal cause and effect connected to the way things work in reality were being violated. The rational people saw this as a deceptive original thought. This was being used to be more than ordinary.

If you gain all your information from reading and listening, it may appear that all is connected because language is their main source. If you also gain information from imagination, one will also use pre-language where other connections can appear.

I can put a cat on a table, and have people standing around the table, one from every language on earth; roughly 6500. We will all see the same visual thing (cat), but each person will verbalized the visual with a unique sound common to their language. Language is a manmade cultural tool, with 6500 versions of this tool. Visual language is natural and innate to all, but is not easy to transfer this visual to another without a language tool.

If my cultural language does not have a word for X and Y and how their relate, I can still see that same thing, as a person in a culture with this specific tool. This allows independent pockets of similar ideas. New words may need to be created for others to see.

Why can’t we reverse the meaning of the word so that people aren’t afraid to be ordinary? By doing this people's esteems won't be compromised and we can feel secure in ourselves and move onto bigger and better things. Why can’t we accept the fact that every human being is innately unique; you are born being different, so why do we have to expend precious energy that could be directed at more important things on trivial matters such as clothes, new gadgets, and cars? Why do we have to keep proving to the world that we are unique even though we are born that way? Why can’t we take all the money and energy that goes into self-distinction and throw it in other areas that could really use it?

There is a stigma associated with being ordinary, and if we are ever to advance as a species we must overcome this fear.
