Duh......I'd be obliged if ne fellow nerd out there reading this cud chip in.

We are starting to build our own blimp scaled down to a hobby size of nearly 3 meters in length enough to hold approx 5000 litres of gas.

Now going by the conventional methods of blimp design, we face problems of internal strut.

We want to use mylar (non static) for the zeppelin for He is way too expensive.......so we plan to settle for good ol Hydrogen in seperate balloons placed inside the rigid zeppeling.

I'd be glad if someone could point out any shortcomings in our use of Hydrogen and also...provide us with a couple of pointers of the internal strut design. We want to use 4 Mitsubishi 5200 RMP motors....with Actuators for thrust and a couple of servos for the 'Ausprey' effect ...yes....we do have canard like projection out of the undercarriage for mounting the motors. I'd like to know how to get the motors to move in a vertical plane.

    Thanx
    Amraam
