And I warn you using the word aether... people will jump on you for it. Though there is quantum aether, and it appears best suited to the knowledge that spacetime is never empty, it would be just best to remember that virtual particles, really do exist.

Virtual particles do not exist and are keeping you from understanding what occurs physically in nature in a double slit experiment.

    I added the following.

You weren't doing too great yourself from what I am reading. You seem to be laboring under the lie that there is such a thing as free space? Then you ask questions like, can we weigh space?

There is no such thing as free space; there is energy and matter in every volume of space and it cannot be fully removed. Doing so would remove the metric itself.

No... You're talking shit. If you had just kept quiet, this wouldn't have been about you or your errors. It would have been about the posters I mentioned when I came here. Now you're making bigger errors than they did.

    Well done!

If you want to correctly understand what occurs physically in nature in a double slit experiment then understand it is the mass associated with empty space which waves.

"stop taking things out of context" = possibly paddoboy's feckless, puerile attempt at proffering an "insult"...??!!

"I don't for one minute believe you got the gist of anything" = possibly paddoboy's feckless, puerile attempt at proffering an "insult"...??!!

"Obsessions are blinding you to reality." = = possibly paddoboy's feckless, puerile attempt at proffering an "insult"...??!!

    Goodbye, paddoboy!

It wasn't right for either Bruce or paddoboy to argue about whether there is free space, because essentially, there isn't any.

But what you are doing is worse... you're making a bizarre aether theory when none is needed.

Explain what occurs physically in nature to cause gravity and the observed behaviors in a double slit experiment.

Aether has mass which is displaced by the particles of matter which exist in it and move through it.

Displaced aether pushing back and exerting inward pressure toward matter is gravity.

The state of displacement of the aether (otherwise known as curved spacetime) is gravity.

A moving particle has an associated aether displacement wave. In a double slit experiment the particle travels through a single slit and the associated wave in the aether passes through both.

What ripples when galaxy clusters collide is what waves in a double slit experiment; the aether.

Einstein's gravitational wave is de Broglie's wave of wave-particle duality; both are aether displacement waves.

Aether displaced by matter relates general relativity and quantum mechanics.

The double slit experiment is easy. It's a probability field, which is physical (we have observed this in the lab using an ultra thin material and seen the waves of the wave function without disturbing it). A particle moves as a wave through space, simply because it is shuffling attentively through each possible scenario and finding the most efficient path. You don't need to talk about gravity... or the quantum aether. We have a very good accurate picture of it already.

A probability field is a mathematical construct and does not physically exist in and of itself. A particle shuffling through each possible scenario is saying the particle exists in both slits which is nonsense.

You failed to explain what occurs physically in nature to cause gravity. You didn't explain what relates general relativity and quantum mechanics.

We've seen it, in semi-micro objects! We have seen the probability field fluctuate! So don't tell me it doesn't physically exist, because it does!

What you have seen are the physical effects caused by the physical particle moving through and physically displacing the mass which fills empty space, otherwise known as the aether.

No it isn't. It was about seeing a semi-quantum object vibrate, a tiny thin sheet, held in place. Nothing about moving in an aether.

You should go read up on it, you might learn something about the experiment.

You should learn what it means for empty space to have mass. It means the particles moving through it displace it.

Because I don't want to waste my time. I don't want to waste time with questions which are nonsensical, perhaps circular or posited by false premises. This would mean I would have to take time to explain that out to you... which I think ultimately would be a waste of my precious time.
