i dont know what a spawn camper is, maybe its an american term, but i live out in real nature alot of the time, i eat what i kill skin gut cook and forage. if i know anything its how to fight, survive, and hunt, i dont belong in this time period, as people tell me, usually my wife. peace.
i just didnt know what native wood was the absolute "best" for making a bow with, and i asked, peace.
then your wrong in your opinion? or not wrong because you realise your wrong and are not anymore>? peace
use a satellite dish coated with mirrors (mylar?) and you can melt shit to make swords. Why dont you just cut down some trees and try them all? I would be more concerned with the string as it is alot harder to construct. Yean, I have that pistol crossbow. I like it. Makes rabbits go in the pot and its really quiet.
The best longbows were made of yew. The staves were cut in winter when no sap was running, from the junction of the inner heartwood and the outer sapwood. The staves were seasoned and worked on gradually over a period of three to four years. http://www.historicalweapons.com/bowandarrow.html
I never understood certain restrictions in America. Like, why you can carry a gun, but not a switchblade. Licensing crossbows, when handguns are so readily available without questions second hand, seems odd also.
i never understood why you would go through the hassle of getting a permit for a gun when you can buy one from your freind or at an auction or yard sale
Why bother? Synthetic nylons, polymers, and plastics have a much better and quicker rebound than any type of wood.
You have to bear in mind a couple of things; Empty is low rent, and wants to make it himself to save cash. Empty is a sad fantasist, and the new series of 'Tarzan' just started on Sky3, so he probably wants a bow like the one Tarzan used in the jungle. I completely agree with you on the synthetics, btw. I have a fibreglass recurve bow, and it's perfect for a casual archer like me. I can leave it in the case for years, and it needs no special care, or maintenance before use.
