Besides Deus Ex, what computer game would make the best movie?

My vote goes to Crimson Skies, or some adaptation of the Jedi Knight series. Starcraft would also be cool (but not warcraft). I don't know about Diablo either...

One thing we have to face now is the fact that we can't expect a good movie from anything that was adapted from a game. It's just beyond the filmakers behind their movies to put them in the running for an academy award or something.

Outcast is a semi-rip off of Stargate so it wouldn't get anywhere near the silver screen. Maybe a straight to video or even made for TV.
I'd have to say Command or Conquer: Red Alert 2. Red Dawn was a movie with the similar events occuring, but It could do with a remake.
I was going to say Medal of Honour: Allied Assault, but that was based around a certain film. So how about Return to Castle Wolfenstein? That would make a brilliant film with the right director behind it. Have it based on the game i,e. Escaping the castle then going to kil the super soldier. They could also throw in a busty female love interest too, but she'd have to die.

 

Wing Commander had so much potential.
Could have been an epic.

Homeworld/Catalsym --- as a series. (like battlestar galactica).

Homeworld. Brilliant. Woo, what an idea. That would have so much potential. After they find their homeworld, they could do Cataclysm and any new episodes out. Again, pat youself on the back. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I'm jealous. I've played them games to death, then ressurected it, then played some more. Again, wow.

Sorry, I must of forgot you said Jedi Knight. I've been playing it most of today (JK2). The choke move is cool. You can throw people off of cliffs.

 

Wolfenstein movie is from the makers of Saving Private Ryan (minus Steven Speilberg). They're also making an Aliens vs Predator movie too.

 

No, they are making the Aliens vs Predator film. With both Aliens, Predators and Colonial Marines, just like the game. Not Aliens 1-4 and Predator 1-2. It's a merger of both types of film. They can do that because the rights for both films are owned by Fox.

No it wouldn't. I would say Sam and Max, but they had a cartoon series (which was funny). maybe Day of the Tentacle.
