EvilPoet, Hey, thanks. This is my third. This new one covers another which I had placed on my arm when I was thirteen (my first tattoo--very crude). I had a second tattoo, a clover, placed on my left shoulder just before my discharge from the army--four years of service as a grunt and no involvement with killing or dying. I was feeling fortunate and had the guy add a fourth leaf. This third tattoo is a sun and cresent moon, a symbol of life and death. I told Max that I wanted something original and had drawn a rough sketch for him. Working with that, he later showed me a couple of sketches of his own. I liked both of them but only wanted one tattoo. I'm very happy with this new one. I want it to hurry up and heal. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Cool story, thanks for sharing it. I had my first tat done on my 18th birthday. The guy who did the tat did the same in my case. I brought him a picture of a butterfly that I had drawn when I was like 10 or 11. He kept the feel of what I had drawn but made it look MUCH better than the original, if you know what I mean. In my opinion, there are some very talented artists out there in the tattooing community. Some of the stuff blows me away with how detailed it is. Ah yes, the healing process ... I remember that part very well. I have only one thing to say - don't scratch. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Gotta fly - having one of those days. :bugeye: Cya later, EvilPoet
